Joss Whedon, the writer/director behind such works as Buffy the Vampire Slayer and The Avengers, was recently taken to task by his ex-wife in an editorial for The Wrap for cheating on her multiple times during their 15-year marriage while simultaneously preaching feminist ideals. TL;DR is that she found out about his affairs and he tried to justify them by painting himself as a tortured polyamorist being held down by patriarchy.

I've said it before in a similar thread that shows like Buffy hold up thanks to a talented writing team. Whedon mostly just popped in to occasionally write a few lines of dialogue or piss off viewers that happened to like certain characters too much for his liking. Really, Buffy's success was due to the efforts of the writers catching lightning in a bottle and running with it.

Whedon himself just got worse and worse over the years up on his high horse and it was time for it all to come loose.

It could be other things. Eliza has recently spoken out about abusing drugs heavily during her career. I think any woman who slept with a shorter version of Jake Alley would need drugs to try and get that knowledge out of her head.

Personally I don't believe that Wheden managed to bang any of the hotties who were in his shows. I think he was fishing in the minor part and crew pool. Wheden being rich, successful and powerful earns him a huge amount of status, but for him to bang stars like Eliza Dushku I think he'd need to earning James Cameron money.

I think Eliza Dushku had Dollhouse made for her because she was pretty much perfect for the role.

If it turns out Wheden managed to bang any of SMG, Summer Glau, Amy Acker or Eliza, my respect for that dude will go through the fucking roof.
