Joy Sparkle aka Kati Marie Smith is a YouTube personality who randomly appeared to insert herself into Onision drama and got 21k subs in 3 months after being noticed by larger YouTubers who also hate him.
She makes lengthy one-take rant-y videos about various drama on the internet, but mostly centers around Onision, she has made 50+ videos about him in less than 3 months. He has called her a stalker, sent her a fake cease & desist letter and blocked her on all social media.
Her life also seems to revolve around getting attention from her fake "fatal" health issues which have been diagnosed by medical professionals as anxiety disorder, but that's not a special enough diagnosis for her so she adamantly denies that's the cause. Recently uncovered information reveals she thinks angelic guides and the Archangel Michael talked to her from the age of 12 on.

Bless you for making this thread. Her obsession with Onision and DO5 is definitely out of hand. That Youtubey money and attention goes to your head.

She was live yesterday on YouNow and was planning on sending Onision a fax machine since he had a meltdown or something about needing "facts". Of course she wasn't gonna put money into it and set up a GoFundMe and when people told her she was being stupid she got all butt hurt about it and guested only people who sided with her. She's an idiot.

Hmm. At first glance it seems like the onision stuff might be opportunism rather than actual obsession, since she seems to sperg and beat to death all of her topics. DaddyOFive videos pushin 20 right now and that drama is just a few weeks old, and she managed to make 12 videos about united but that drama only lasted a few days. Onision could be a sustainable drama that keeps her relevant though? who knows. either way she's nuts and a decent find. hopefully some sincere autism is involved and it's not just a PR stunt to promote her channel through craziness.

Joy seems like the kind of person who is just fucking exhausting to be around. She flits between high-energy moral crusading and wallowing in abject misery on a day to day basis. She's equal parts pushy and needy, and does a lot of the old "tell everyone your problems and talk about how you really need money, but also make a point of insisting that you don't want anyone's help or money" schtick. A lot of what she says just reeks of opportunistic bullshitter.

She sure seems love a bit of drama though. She's been getting into slapfights all over the place. The famous celebrity youtuber Jamie Lynn Fischer tried to glom on to Joy Sparkles onision drama and started going after her all over the internet. She posted a video called "Joy Sparkle "BS" Exposed & Uses Tragedy For Money?". I won't post it because it's actually a dumb waste of time and doesn't expose anything, but seeing as how using tragedy for attention is Jamie's MO, I'm guessing she see's something a little bit too familiar in Joy and is jealous that she's making a little bit of bank.

She'll probably show up here at some point.

A few of her videos on DO5 resonated with me, though there seemed to be just an insane amount of content on DO5 over a short period of time (and across two channels). I can understand getting worked up over an issue that affected you personally, but the sheer amount of videos are alarming, to put it generously. Like, lady, are you okay? Making all these videos? Getting yourself so angry? Doesn't seem healthy dwelling in that place and just hunkering down in it.

Can't say the new age bullshit surprises me. She just seems like a really damaged person with some kooky beliefs and at least one un-diagnosed mental illness.

This was honestly a long time coming. While she brought up some valid points about Onision's abuse in the beginning, it became pretty clear that she had ulterior motives , mainly wanting to insert herself into drama and then claiming altruistic intentions when people begin questioning her.

It's a bit of a meme with Greg / Onision. He demands FACTS and says all he presents and FACTS but with his re.tard accent it comes out as "fax" every time. He uses the word daily, along with HONEST and LITERALLY. So the joke is he's a fax machine who demands more fax all the time and spits fax.

She does not need $250 to purchase and send a fax machine to Greg. She could get an old one for free off craigslist.

I had mixed feelings about 'Joy' when I first saw her pop up on my YouTube recommendations. I think she only had two or three videos at the time. Half of me thought 'well, I guess it's the video version of what we're doing - bashing, laughing at, and being horrified by Onision'. Then the videos kept coming mixed in with "I'm so ill" and "money would be good but I'm not asking you for it".

She reminds me of women who are all "I hate drama!" yet constantly insert themselves in the middle of it. I browsed through her channels last night and couldn't believe how many vids she has. I know DaddyOFive has been a big thing (and imo that family is fucked up) but it comes across as her cashing in on children's misery. I don't know if she's monetised those videos though. I can understand one well researched initial video and an update or two but I counted 39 DaddyOFive videos uploaded across two channels. 39!

Onision is a piece of shit though, so who cares that he begged her to stop? That was the best thing she's ever done.

But she's clearly going to come flying off the rails soon because she's a crazy person and she's too unstable to know what to do with all this newfound attention. All she's doing is proving herself to be just as mad as all the people she's going after.

Also, I watched several of her DO5 videos, and no mention of any charity was ever made. Shouldn't that be something she mentions to the viewers who might have concerns when Philip DeFranco made a specific point of not monetizing his videos on the subject?
