What's your thoughts on this? All a ruse as a way to flush him out of hiding?

I dunno. The hunter finding him earlier and being prosecuted for "disturbance of privacy" by photographing it suggests to me that yes, he is dead. But maybe in a different manner than suicide? I dunno. Or maybe he has been longer dead than the narrative would suggest. Or maybe he didn't kill himself. Or maybe it isn't a coverup and there's nothing untoward about it.

I really don't have enough to go on and haven't looked closely enough.

The only conspiracy theory that would stand up is if it were someone else's body being passed for his body, for whatever reason. That's a real good reason to keep that hunter from sharing the picture. But then if that really were the case, why let him decompose several days and run the risk of someone else finding him?

I'm finding it hard to find conspiracy angles that work. Maybe someone else has a better idea.

It's all part of his long game. He's only pretending to be a rotting corpse, and now that their guard is down is when he'll make his move.

No he injected himself with a special virus that will spread when anyone of a similar genetic marker to the virologist he hates comes into contact with him, while mimicking symptoms of specific strains of viruses said virologist has a fetish for.

Wait so half the thread is saying he got discovered by a hunter and the other half is saying he was found by the mayor. Something sounds fishy about all this if there's conflicting reports out there about the same guy.

There's also the parts where the weapons were all over the place.
My best guess is, considering he was "training" a bunch of people, maybe he didn't plan this alone?

Actually, better guess, it wasn't as planned as it looked - he improvised badly, he panicked, and killed himself.

There is an update to the story.

The family demands to see the body and to have the cause of death verified by an independant expert. They also don't want him to be cremated.

A judge has ruled that seeing the body is not necessary for a "worthy goodbye".

The undertaker is also receiving death threats from unknown source.

My guess at this point is that the guy is alive and a random body got found & incinerated. Probably being tortured as an example. Also to find out if he was acting alone or not. I suppose it's equally likely that he got shot by the military that found him a week or two ago and this is just the wrap-up.

If he was found near the area where the jets were circling early on in the campaign, then this is the likely scenario.

Show of Force for X hours to deafen, demoralise and disorientate him. Sneaky Beaky squad go in and kill him. Not wanting to leave any trace or evidence that said sneaky beaky squad exists, let alone carried out the hit, they leave the body in a 'suicide' position and the rest is history.

Cremation is a way of hiding poisons or toxins in his system, and any signs of torture
