thats not likely, everyone knows what kind of berries are eatable in the wild. mushrooms are a bigger problem, but there are just some problematic ones.

no. wild boars are quite abundant in europe, so much that they're considered an annoying pest in many places. they regularly venture out of the woods and ruin peoples gardens and farmland with their digging.

wild animals getting hunted to extinction in europe was mostly a thing for predators that people wanted to get rid of because they were a threat to farmers livestock, and because they sometimes competed with human hunters for prey. wolves and bears got exterminated for this reason, lynx too, but not boars. they're prime hunting targets today, because now that there's no natural predators around, their population will grow explosively unless hunters keep it in check.

If this was some random joe blow soldier , id say that he's dead in the woods and won't be found for a few years , but if this guy is spec ops then hell theres no telling where hes at , hes probably got stashes of gear around the forest/country. Dude was in the middle east so hes probably well versed in guerrilla warfare. My bet is that hes long gone and has probably stashed the weapons far away from himself and the forest where the cops are looking.

I doubt that he has stashed more weapons. Its easy to notice that some guns are missing in the armory, but good luck with an officer pilfering small quantities of ammo, blasting caps or secondary explosives over time (especially if those are being used in field exercises).

He'd be able to confirm some past operations and such, yeah. Overall I doubt he'll have much knowledge of current internal logistics though, it's out of his scope. Logistics information is usually more valuable than information about their equipment, most of which is available online or in Jane's.

• 3 June 2021: Another search in Lanklaar, this time on an industrial estate and some residential areas. By far the most exciting thing that happens is that a guy shows his asscrack during a live report the story.

So, yeah. Pretty much nothing has happened.

I think people overestimate how effective police and military are during manhunts. Its actually quite easy to disappear into the milleu of a city, this guy can just do the car stuff and head to a major metro area and set up shop in a vacant house or whatever and ride out a few months until that "medical professional" he hates so much returns to a normal routine and then just blow him up then. The European governments can't get the fucking migrants under control, why people think they would be able to easily find a guy who actually blends in with the population in a time period of masking and shit is beyond me.
