Allow me to introduce you to Jesse Ridgway, aka "McJuggerNuggets." Jesse is a YouTuber who is quickly gaining recognition on the site for his "Psycho Series," which chronicles the exploits of his dysfunctional family, mainly his father, who is known in the videos as "Psycho Dad." Here are a couple of them, to give you an idea of what they're like:
As you can see, it's pretty much the same thing as "The Greatest Freakout Ever" before it. And like "The Greatest Freakout Ever," there's a lot of debate about whether the videos are real or fake. So which is it? Well, probably fake.
But, that doesn't matter, because we're not here to discuss McJuggerNuggets. No, this thread, as you read in the title, is about his fanbase. "Juggies," as he calls them, are some of the most belligerent and unintelligent people on the web. Like most other fandoms, they'll jump to the defense of their senpai the instant anyone says anything bad, or even remotely negative about them. Take, for example, a YouTube user by the name of Trevor (aka "EffectEditor9000"), who makes the "Is it Real?" series. Trevor analyzes the psycho videos and provides evidence that, like anyone with half a brain could probably figure out, the videos are probably fake. How do Juggies take that? With extra salt of course! Go to any of Trevor's McJuggerNuggets videos, and look at the comments. It's a cesspool of autism. The comments of Jesse's videos are even worse. It's like a breeding ground for exceptional individuals.
A lot of the ridiculousness of this fandom comes from the fact that the majority of them cannot seem to grasp the (pretty obvious) fact that the videos are staged. Pretty much every video made by or relating to McJuggerNuggets is guaranteed to have a comments section filled to the brim with Juggie autism. They'll angrily argue with anyone who says that they're fake, and a lot of them are even stupid enough to send Jesse money and gaming consoles due to thinking it's real (Jesse's accepted these in the past, but to his credit, he's recently stopped and told his fans that any game consoles he gets will be returned to the sender). Jesse himself has claimed that the Psycho videos are real, which I believe is probably the main reason why these spergs defend their authenticity to the death, despite obvious evidence to the contrary. After all, as the old saying goes, "if it's on the internet, then it must be true."
Jesse's "haters" are no better, to be honest, because a lot of them are just as spergy as the fans. Many of them follow Jesse's brother Jeffrey's channel, "BigBrudda," where he often acts as an antagonist to Jesse. They call themselves "Lil' Bruddas" and they have the same problem of being unable to tell fiction from reality, and their reasoning for hating Jesse (or other members of the family) is almost always something in the videos themselves. Take this ED article, for example. Yeah, ED hates and makes fun of everything, but if you read through the entire article, it's written entirely from the perspective that the videos are real. As a fan of ED, I've got to say that this is a really autistic article and they could've done a lot better.
To completely fill the autism quota, there's even a wiki about the videos. It's one of those wikis with a comments section, which is always great. Here are some tidbits from it:
