Been givin' the Julay saga a looking over. Funny as the saga was, the audio of "Julie reveals herself" is pretty sickening, don't get me wrong, Chris had virtually all of the trolling coming to him; but BlueSpike/Max crossed the line. He seemed genuinely sadistic, and the ironic part is, he's not that different from Chris: A kid who has no problem with using others for enjoyment and who lacks empathy. This isn't really a question thread, it's just some of my musings on the saga, feel free to let me know what you think of the audio.

Yeah, what BlueSpike did is detestable and horrifying.

He totally took it quite a bit too far and it is worrying that someone could go that far. I've read through the CWCki and none of the sagas ended in such a horrifying way. ABL was trying to help Chris in so many ways... Liquid just freaked Chris out but not nearly as badly... You get the idea. So yeah, the things that BlueSpike did to Chris and made Chris do, I question whether he actually deserved it. Don't get me wrong, I do believe that Chris deserves a great deal of the attention he got/is getting but the Julie saga took it a bit too far.

I know what Bluespike did was horrendous and all, but I can't help but think that some of it could've been avoided.

For Julie's Eyes Only is a perfect example of something that Chris could've stopped if he only used common sense.

As another kid who has no problem with using others for enjoyment and lacks empathy, I say BlueSpike was just a different type of trolling. Which keeps it from all being samey.

Its very difficult for something to "cross the line" for me, so meh.

Causing Chris psychical pain kinda sucks, but he did do it to himself (he's done all of this to himself through his stupidity). It's not like a gang of pickle-suited niggos went and beat him up. A teenager told him to do stupid and over the top things and he did.

Chris could've left at any time and recovered his PSN accs manually, he was just too stupid to. He could have just said no to sticking his medallian up his ass (in the same way he just said no to burning down his house), he was just too stupid to. BlueSpike was pushing his boundaries to see how much he could get him to do (people go very evil when they have this sorta control over someone, with added anonymity).

Are you guys crazy? The Julie saga was the best! I'd likely wouldn't do it myself, but fuck me, all that stuff, including the reveal, is amongst my favorite. After all, we wouldn't have the "For Julie's Eyes Only" without him... sure he was a punk, but I like a punk sometimes! Don't tell me I'm on my own here?

I think the problem with bluespike was that aside from taking far to much pleasure in the power he held over chris, he seemed desperate to impress the big name trolls and be one of the "kewl kids" by trying to cross the line both in what he said and in what he told Chris to do, which is also why he went completely over the top when he finally unloaded on Chris

The resulting rant was a mix of epicWEEEENer kid/A-log style screechings which ensured many were turned against him.

Yes, but Chris has the mind of a child. This sort of thing happens all the time, authority figures (teachers, priests, whatever) can make children do horrible things without laying a hand on them, just by their force of will and perceived authority. I don't think it was right.
