In 1997 he wrote a book called "Family and Favela: the Reproduction of Poverty in Rio de Janeiro", which I've never been fortunate enough to read. His antics aren't limited to the internet. In 2011, he shouted "Death to Israel!" at Ishmael Kaldi, Israel's first Bedouin diplomat, prompting condemnation from the university president, who called his behaviour "deplorable". In 2012 he wrote a newspaper article praising the perpetrator of the 2002 Kiryat HaYovel supermarket bombing, in which a suicide bomber blew herself up and killed 2 Israeli civilians. The FBI investigated him in 2016 for possible links to ISIS, but found none.
