Sonichu is actually an extremely underdeveloped character. Here is my very theory.
Chris hates reality, he'd just much rather choose to live in his world. This is one of the biggest problems he has relating to other people. Chris is incapable of a friendship where the person doesn't just asspat him and do whatever he says. He can't handle conflict or disagreements well at all. He wants to direct the entire relationship.
Sonichu is the best friend he could ever have. He just accepts chris for who he is and is completely submissive to him. His entire personality can be entirely controlled by Chris. That's why he's such a bland and boring character. He's only whatever chris needs him to be and nothing more.
Also this is why Chris gets so mad about Sonic. Sonic is only allowed to be whatever Chris wants him to be, and when thats proven untrue it really bothers him.

I agree with your post but want to add something to it.
Chris really suffers from a serious case of angst. Like classic psychological angst (as opposed to teen angst). It's based in autism and it's silly and its emoted on a level expected of a child under 12 years of age - but it's angst. He's unable to control his world and he tries hard to reconcile the world to himself instead of the other way around.
This post is his angst-ridden attempt to regain control - by putting down Pokemon and Sonic because of what he sees as failings / attacks on his private world and promoting Sonichu as better than them, he's trying to come to terms with that autistic angst with, er, autistic logic. Magical thinking and all that.
I feel bad because it's one of his more obvious signs of someone having serious emotional disorders but the way he decides to approach the subject is so frustratingly childish, you can't do anything but watch him self-destruct.
My favorite part was when he confessed to eating glue.
