Talking about "chemical imbalances" and "I'm not a doctor or anything but-" and then just listing off the "symptoms" of shit as she's seen in Girl, Interrupted. "on top of the world" "lowest lows" "i feel like death!" "i can't put words to my feelings" Get off the internet you dumb cunt. She's just making herself believe she's fucked in the head via reading internet diagnoses and forcing them to apply to herself.

Another thing really peeving me off was her talking about medications. She said she's tried medicine. Not medicines. She's mocking people that encourage her to try to get better, because she's afraid of getting worse. She doesn't realize there are options, but I suppose I can't expect anything but black and white from such a dumb cow.

And of course she pops it in at the middle bit, that she's talking about these things to help people. It's really helpful when you prattle on about your shitty feelings, then say that medicine and therapy don't help people get better. I can't think of anything that a depressed person would need to hear more. Good lord.

Unless she actually seeks help for the various mental illnesses she claims to have, she should just shut up about it. Whining for pity doesn't help anyone, not even herself. Telling people that therapy and medication does nothing and won't help is the opposite of helping people actually dealing with depression.

I can entirely believe she has depression, but I do wonder to what extent it's circumstantial. I've seen quite a few cases where people who have previously been obese and depressed end up recovering when they lose weight. Since Amber's always been big, we've never had the chance to see whether the depression exists aside from her being morbidly obese.

As well as this, in regards to lethargy, when you're five hundred pounds and you don't eat very well on a daily basis, chances are you're going to feel lethargic. When you feel lethargic, you find it hard to keep up with things like daily hygiene and you may do things like stay in bed all day. You feel anxious being around others because you're self-conscious about your weight, which causes you to withdraw socially and be less likely to go out. You feel negatively toward yourself because of all of this and eat to deal with it and the cycle continues.

I've never seen an episode of M600PL where the person isn't depressed.

Talked up and down about her parents being drug addicts, abusing each other, her mom being in prison, the cancer, aired a bunch of nasty laundry to the world and somehow feels offended that her mom wants to work on herself and try to maintain sobriety instead of hanging out with the very person who told the world of all her fallures and flaws. Well I think that you have to have something wrong with you to become morbidly obese in the first place. It's not like totally mentally healthy people get this big. I mean, of course it only gets worse when you're that fat and hate yourself for it but it's most likely a manifestation of a person's problems rather than the direct cause.

I realise Amberlynn is a liar and there are things to hate her for but the one thing in that video that makes it so I can sympathize with her is when she talks about her mother. I kinda get why she didn't want to write to her and why she's offended. I read aunt Tammy's posts and I don't get why everyone expects Hamber to be the bigger () person here. If there are any reasons why she's so fucked in the first place it's probably because of her upbringing. IMO, she has every right to be mad at her mother for being in her life as a drug addict thus ruining her psyche, but acting as if she was too good for Amberlynn after quitting drugs.

She's not acting too good for Amber. Tammie is trying to keep them apart so her sister doesn't get sucked into Amber's drama orbit. (Considering Amber's Mom's previous FB history, she'll get into trouble sooner or later, imo. With or without Amber's help)

I understand Ambelynn is probably a horrible person to keep contact with but I just think that this situation isn't as clear-cut as some people say. There's a point in life when you have to accept that you had a shitty childhood and it sucked but as a 26 year old woman, it is now AL's responsibility to get whatever help AL needs to learn the coping skills and life skills she missed out on by having drug addicted, neglectful parents. I could power level quite a bit about this topic but I'll spare you.

If Amber was 18, perhaps, and on her own for the first time maybe she would deserve some slack. But she's wasted over 8 years and steamrolled over the lives and hearts of 3-4 girlfriends and their families generosity and left nothing but pain and misery and resentment in her wake.

Every single thing that's wrong in Amber's life is because she had drug addict parents and was in foster care. At what point is it Amber's responsibility to grow the fuck up and own her shitty childhood and overcome it? Does she expect to be 45 and 600lbs and missing a limb and bed bound and on welfare or dependent on another girlfriend and still think people will be like, "aw, poor Amber, look what her drug addicted parents did to her".

She refuses to get help in the form of therapy or psychotropic drugs for her depression which she claims is getting worse. She hasn't been to a doctor in god knows how long, save for her various ER trips for bullshit.

So when is AL going to exercise some god damn agency over her life and realize she's the source of her own misery?

Alright, I don't think it excauses Amber or makes it so she's not guilty of her general bad behaviour. All I meant is that criticizing her for not wanting to write to her mom when she was in prison and had cancer is a little dumb. The thing we care about is laughing at her for lying about her intentions and for using her mom's cancer for pity and views. She made several videos about how much she loves her mom, asking strangers to pray for her, etc. She pretended to cry about it, said she misses her mom and wanted to write to her. Then she went back to using her mom's drug use and neglect for pity and views.
