Then how exactly did he beat his primary challengers, even if they were NeverTrumpers?

Come on, let's be real. Without the WaPo smearjob and subsequent full court media press, and stuff like the NAACP coming out in force to whip people to the polls, Jones would have had absolutely nothing.
He wasn't beating them until they paid to savage each other with examples of their own never-Trumpism on talk radio 24/7.

All right. So why is he leading the GOP Senate polls again, despite the party swearing up and down it will block him any way they can?

The only one so far with any name recognition. Alabama's been in a severe crisis of leadership the past few years with the massively corrupt governor going down. Plus it's still early days, and the people that like Roy Moore really like Roy Moore and are more likely to get invested early. He's a fanatic and he attracts other fanatics. Although maybe this should just count as the same race. As far as I know Roy Moore never conceded last time. Though he did scam people out of money to fight Doug Jones' victory and then shat himself and did nothing.

I do hope there's another front runner soon or Doug Jones is keeping the seat and he really shouldn't be able to.

I'm sorry, but exactly what incentive do the Democrats have to change course?

They are banking on demographic changes to automatically give them victories. It's not a bad strategy, just very long-term.
I find it amusing that people think when brown people or black people or polka dot people become the majority they are going to continue to vote Democrat.

Nobody who is remotely successful at life and doesn't feel guilty about it, votes Democrat. Once the yellow and brown per capita income eclipses whitey, they'll vote in the first Nazi who offers to decrease their taxes and undo all the restrictive regulations strangling their wealth building desires.

You know, I've never really considered that, but yeah, a majority in america without crippling self hatred AND an axe to grind could get kinda scary, in an authoritarian way. I doubt it'd be the republicans though. They'll stay democrats, even if it means the democrats platform changing 100%.

In terms of race, look at South Africa, they got barely any Ytey left compared to other colors, yet crackers are still victimized more than ever. It actually becomes easier to do.

What is success? There are plenty of freeloaders who never worked an honest day in their life (like Obama and Wookie) and make kick ass paycheck with pride. Should we add Bernie, Warren, Pelosi, Chucky? Building wealth while robbing blind never felt better, but there are plenty of bullshit divershitty jobs on lower level that mimic that model. The more sheep, the more shepherds.

I am more concerned that US is mutation into copy of Mexico with kinder, gentler drug lords and barons.

So what you're saying is, there's an excellent chance they'll continue voting Democrat.

Democrats are not exactly hostile to business interests in general, only those business interests whose CEOs do not deliver them money and whose workers do not deliver them votes.

Not sure about that anymore, with the rise of these new, outwardly socialist freshman congressmen and women, and the rise of socialist politics among younger millennials, and older post-millennials, one of their major voting blocks, that maybe changing rather swiftly.

Some of the new democratic candidates are openly supporting open borders, universal basic income, and reparations which are all remarkably large detriments to businesses and workers.

Open borders are only detriments to small, local business.

However, it is an absolute labor pool boon to big business that needs lots of worker drones to keep wages down.

I don't think big businesses care about UBI unless it shrinks the labor pool. Sounds like an excuse to raise prices across the board to me, no different than what happens after a general minimum wage hike.

Big companies are all about being woke nowadays too, so long as it doesn't impact the bottom line too much.

The one thing that has gotten AOC in trouble with her constituents is being blamed for chasing Amazon away.

Those groups front, but the minute it results in the cool company being run out of town, then there's a problem.

AOC's screw ups will hurt her with her constituency, but they won't do much to allay the socialist policies of democrats or weaken socialism's popularity with young adults, or cause the democrats to rethink statism, collectivism, or government intervention in the economy. That very same New York that AOC represents and just lost the Amazon HQ2, just did this: New York City to Require Buildings to Cut Greenhouse Gas Emissions in First of Its Kind Law

The new law calls for the creation of the Office of Building Energy and Emissions Performance that could hear appeals from building owners and give variances, Mark Chambers, the director of the Mayor’s Office of Sustainability, told the New York Times.
Translation: Compliance will be nakedly gamed with sweetheart deals being given to companies and individual owners the city administration likes.

Thus, a front.

Here's a slight issue with that proposal: Buildings do not emit ANY greenhouse gas, unless they contain a combustion engine or something. So really it's about limiting electricity. But the law says "Cut by 40%" rather than "Use no more than X". Thus, companies that fucked up by already being efficient are gonna have a hell of a lot harder time than the ones that are wasteful as hell and can hit a 40% cut by putting timers on their lights.

Also, CO2 isn't even a pollutant, doesn't contribute to smog (This was a huge surprise to me), and it's "greenhouse gas" status is at best wildly overblown. There are actual real pollution problems that maybe should be addressed before we go after the nontoxic gas...

Yeah. You ever think about what it would be like if we could listen to plants and we heard them all talking about how they need to reduce their oxygen output right now to save the planet?

Democrats on the House Judiciary Committee Tuesday demanded access to Justice Brett Kavanaugh’s records from his employment in the George W. Bush White House, citing the panel’s role in “judicial disqualification and misconduct.”

Judiciary Committee Chairman Jerry Nadler sent a letter to the National Archives asking the records department “to complete its review and release records,” to the panel related to Kavanaugh’s 2001-2006 White House service.
The New York Democrat said in the letter, also signed by subcommittee Chairman Hank Johnson of Georgia, that the panel “is considering legislative proposals to create a code of conduct for Supreme Court Justices.

Nadler said the Senate “only received a small fraction” of Kavanaugh’s White House record when it confirmed him to the high court in October 2018.
Kavanaugh served in the White House counsel’s office from 2001 until 2003 and as staff secretary from 2003 to 2006.
Senate Democrats, during his initial confirmation hearing, seized on Kavanaugh’s writings about abortion during his time in the White House counsel’s office, including a 2003 email in which he appeared to question the view that the Supreme Court ruling legalizing abortion was “settled law.”

According to Nadler, the Archives has completed processing records related to Kavanaugh’s time in the White House counsel’s office and he is seeking all of his emails and office files from that time.
Nadler also asked the Archives to work with panel Democrats to speed up the production of the documents from Kavanaugh’s staff secretary tenure, which is not scheduled for release until 2021.
The House plays no role in confirming judicial nominees.
Nadler, in the letter to the National Archives, cited the panel’s oversight responsibility over the judicial branch.

“The Committee’s jurisdiction encompasses the laws governing judicial ethics and the judicial oath of office; judicial disqualification, and misconduct; and the organization of the Supreme Court.”
