So I may have missed it, but what are their demands? Who specifically are they protesting and what specifically do they want them to do?
Toronto Police but probably also everyone else they can lump in with this conspiracy theory that she was pushed.
Okay that answers part 1, now what about part 2? What specifically do they want them to do?
Props for at least specifying "of magnesium" in the instructions rather than just planning to pour dairy all over everyone's eyes, but anti-props for not double-checking and realizing that it should be "of magnesia" before hitting post.
EDIT: So, looking at this story, I really feel for her family. It's heartbreaking to learn that she was calling for her mother, who police wouldn't allow into the apartment, and that shortly after that, she was dead. It sounds like the family wants footage of the hallway to be released, but beyond that, I'm not sure what the protest goals are--maybe creating more accountability measures for police? The police chief himself said "this might be a textbook case in why body cameras should be provided." A recording would clear up the situation regardless of where blame might lie.
I guess we'll see how much of a protest this is vs. how much it turns out like the situation in America.

So many white people there. Things like this make me wish I was a "literal genie" and these people woke up in a world where the police were abolished. Within a week, they would have to barricade their house and sleep with the lights on in fear of someone breaking in, rob, rape, and murder them, because there would be nobody to protect them.

Interesting enough, I've seen very little mention of it. Looking at the Toronto Star, it's not even on the splash page of the website right now. Being relegated to a small article - everything else is still Corona virus centered. Not even a single article on r/Canada, with a megathread only on r/Toronto. The majority of the comments being the most milquetoast and unoffensive shit you'd exactly expect.

I am not surprised Toronto is embracing the "chimp out" culture, fucking same idiots where all freaking out about COVID just last week. Province is still in phase 1 until the 9th of June, under the Quarantine Act, and as well in Assembly statue having this type of protest is illegal in Canada. You can't get in mass because the Charter passed by the Elder Trudeau, bans assemblies greater than 25 people. Canuck Land is relatively swift in the way the police handle these type of things, and I expect the OPP to be busting heads during this gathering. If people only understood on how much Canada is a police state compared to the US, but at the same time our culture is a lot different than our American counterpart. Our racism is very lowbrow and relatively low-key, and hate-crimes are taken to the EXTREME. If this story was factual, all of those police officers involved would of been 100% discharged, and the Crown would be having a FIELD DAY with the Soviet Union style laws that are in this country.
The BLM and ANTIFA people are race-baiting, and the idiots and Toronto are obviously going to go along with it, because the city is a shit hole full of Somalian refugees. Given this story you shared, it doesn't surprise me that BLM is utilizing it as ammo to start more riots. I don't expect this to pick up much traction beyond maybe Toronto and Vancover. What's the purpose of this thread? Did the OP think that there was going to be riots of this "killing" in Toronto? Because from what I'm reading this is a either an accident or suicide by way of junkie. George Floyd was undoubtedly a murder while this one is murky at best. The point of the thread is the fact there was not a murder but it was being pushed as one in the hopes to create a problem out of nothing. With a reasonable chance of a chimp out happening.
