The dude in the video has a rap song about 5G Coronavirus causing the end of the world. It has nothing to do with this but a dude with this kind of mindset causing riots in Canada's biggest city would have been almost kind of poetic in a sense. Keep on losing out Canada you snoozefest of a country

Nah combined with lockdowns from covid-19 and the fact Canadians like to copy trends in the US shit can get out of control fast mainly because people are bored as fuck and the riots look fun to partake in therefore you will have a bunch of young people who are out of school teaming up with antifa types causing mayhem just because. Really its up to the police force and riot police to set what these people will be able to get away with.

this is how you can tell it's a bunch of Americans (whether expat or commuting from Detroit or wherever) running this shit. Canada's right to not self-incriminate is Section 13 of the Charter of Rights and Freedoms. They don't even bother to have/research a relevant-to-Canada sheet to pass around in Canada.

Toronto police isn't going anywhere, their city council shitcanned the proposed cuts to the police budget next year. Protests got co-opted by the Muslim community anyway, which diluted the message even further. If anything, the police may end up getting additional budget for mental health crisis response training now.


The bum town from the video seems to be legit hobos who are often straight-up mentally ill, not white upper class "activists" like in Seattle. Their original camp under the Gardiner highway was destroyed so they moved somewhere else. Curious to see what happens when winter comes.

It's mostly because in the 90s, Toronto was amalgamated into its suburbs and so combined with a weak mayor system, the suburbs still hold a good amount of sway over city council. (It's also why the late Rob Ford was able to get elected) That being said, the mayor is a conservative-centrist, so this was likely DOA anyways.

City dwellers regularly complain about it since politics are dragged to the right, but I suppose that this is one of the instances where it prevented things from swinging to the left too quickly.

(Don't let his name fool you, he's no Tory) No conservative worth his salt would lobby the federal government to allow him to ban handguns municipally. Also witness his dicking around when it comes to dealing with other matters, such as kowtowing to radical leftist protesters.
