I don't disagree that having dedicated threads for certain subjects makes things easier to parse, I just don't like having the main thread locked. I just wanna keep up with the new happenings, and F5ing the subforum and looking for the most current thread is less convenient than going to unread posts in 1 thread. Would be nice if it was left unlocked and new threads were linked to there as things were unfolding.Just follow the ones that interest you and check for new threads. This is much more easy to follow than the 10 page daily explosions and quarantines the off topic discussions like ‘not all trannies uwu’ and ‘grr grr fuck the TERFs for being right’ etc.
Plus it made it a more acceptable vehicle for shit posting without derailing, eg the JY fashion show. As topics become more directed - eg the JY sockpuppet thread or Alex Jones interview - it will become a great itemized resource. I had to scour 200 fucking pages last night to find a pic of Jon’s chicken cutlet tits.

I think the plan is to unlock it after the board has been populated with discussion threads, like how the weeb wars board has a general discussion thread in addition to all the more specific threads.
I'm talking about individual posts not topics. Like if say, in the Russell Greer thread I could filter it to just actual updates instead of reading 10 pages of "Greer can't get nobody to suck him his penis" in between court documents.

I do agree, sort of. It might be just me, I found it really easy to get lost when people don't quote other people, sometimes having to go back 10 pages to find out what on earth they were talking about.
The not agree part, with so many other forums banning all talk about him, banning anything and anyone critical of trans in any way, the influx was to be expected (even when mentioning here is banned lol). It will help keep everyone in one place, instead of trying to mod every single other board that people will try and take over, just to get their point across.
Since (predictably) people are griping about this new setup I just want to say for contrast that as someone with very limited time for kf right now but who wants to keep up on major developments, the subforum has been a godsend. It was quite a load off to go from sitting down and wasting a half hour skimming 20 new pages at a time full of 95% bullshit and repetition (and still never being able to get up to date) whenever I had the chance, to being able to see literally instantly that (for example) Yaniv had an appearance on Info Wars and teased a political run.
New format inhibits shitposting and has a way to shunt off the people who just can't stop talking about trans stuff in general or philosophy. It's a good thing, at least while there's so much activity.

Agreed. The board is much easier to navigate and follow, even for someone such as myself who managed to (mostly) keep up with the Barry-Allen-tier thread.
I'd say it doesn't inhibit shitposting so much as section it off into the appropriate shitposting areas. So you can either only check BCHRT shit, only check pedophile shit, or only look at photoshopped pictures of tampon jon following women into their homes, according to your tastes.
I agree, I just think there should also be a sort of general dumping ground for those of us who want to expose ourselves to a stream of nonsense and hysterics.
Maybe we'll get it back after ppl learn to follow directions: Make a new thread or contribute to one if there's a topic, reserve the old thread for sperges that go nowhere else. I mean, people have been bugging Josh for this subforum for months now, at first he said no and finally said yes. So thus people should use the subforum for what it's intended for if they want to get the old thread back, and then use THAT for its now new intended purpose.
I wanted to say definitely the thing with the main thread is that a lot of it IS kind of interconnected, in a certain way, and most of it is so funny that you want to keep up with all of it.
I like that he has his own board, but I think it's unlike something like the Amberlynn board where she has significant uploads. I think it should be a thing where the main thread is the main place for all discussion, and then for big things there should maybe be another thread.

It's no bother to me and @The Ghost of ODB and I think we'd much rather deal with reports and know what is going on than find a thread all shat up later.
