I thought of jonny when I read this (BBC website https://www.bbc.com/news/world-asia-50597405)

"A Japanese department store where staff could wear badges if they were on their period has said it will "rethink" that policy. The badges - which featured a cartoon character known as Miss Period - were introduced in October.

The intention was that staff could get extra help, or longer breaks, if they were wearing one. "It was never the intention to share the menstrual information with their customers," a spokeswoman told the BBC."

I saw that too. I could totally see him go before the Township of Langley council or a school board and try and get them to pass out something like this to all the boys and girls in middle school/high school/Canuck equivalent as some sort of "period awareness. JY would love to know which teenage girls he can offer a tampon too.

And another free idea: A longer version of that flexible sign that can be unfurled to cover the crack between the door and stall wall to prevent East Asians from peeping in and says, "If you hear me fappin', don't come rappin' ." How cute is that?

Jeez, his health always seems to play up around court dates or when his latest poor behaviour has been revealed. Poor sod, he has no luck.

eta: Right on cue, another court date and another hospital visit with another emergency. Don't fret jonny, mama can sue if you peg it.

Amazingly I take to online too when I'm trying to get emergency hospital treatment.

Maybe it's just you jonny and nothing to do with "discrimination". Those pesky immigrant hospital staff I bet.

I can almost guarantee that his questionable behavior has been charted by the various doctors and nurses who've had the displeasure of treating him. I bet every time his chart is pulled there's a warning that he seeks unnecessary medical attention and even perhaps drug seeking behavior. If he ever gets violent or aggressive (or has in the past) they'll stick a big purple dot on his chart that will follow him for life in BC (purple dot warns staff of aggressive patients).

Doctors and nurses are busy and have a low tolerance for bull shit. Most of them are assertive almost to a fault and are far more intelligent than JY; he wouldn't last two min in a battle against the medical system or its staff.

He's made quite a defamatory statement against the hospital and as he's tagged them I hope someone up the chain gets to see & do something about it, even if it is just making him cry.

Basically a given, yes. Having done work around client data in both the medical field and other industries: basically everyone does this to whichever extent the law allows.

Attention seeking behaviour in a patient is most certainly even relevant medical information and would definitely be recorded - especially if repeated.

On a random side note: My personal career highlights include sifting through thousands of notes on a hotel chain's guest profiles and finding, among various other hilarious and/or disturbin shit, a running tally of a regular customer's ever changing wives, girlfriends and mistresses over the course of almost two decades. Sadly this was on an IT project in the context of EU GDPR compliance, so my job basically consisted of finding a way to automate getting rid of all the fun stuff and keeping the boring bits only ...

I mean, what does he want them to do exactly? Grab a speculum, violently poke a hole in his perineum with it, make everything worse by stretching the wound for the mere sake of it, poke around a bit with a swab and then conclude they can't take a cervical smear just then since - given the amount of blood and gore - the patient is clearly having a particularly heavy period just now?
