Kale Millier Jeffery, known by his online alias "Kalematsuba" is a 30 year old trans man from New Westminster, Canada who has a shady artistic career. He is well known Twitter and Tumblr for making art of popular media and has a pretty sizable following. He is also known for being the creator of "Sweethearts of 1989" a project that was funded through Kickstarter.

Notice the tagline choosing to emphasize how wonderfully inclusive the series is instead of anything to do with the storyline.

Now, Kale has a very interesting and low-minded past. It all started back in 2004 on DeviantArt, where Kale made a name doing Kingdom Hearts yaoi under the username "YaoiGoddessKeale".

This only evolved as time went on, taking shape in 2012 where he made himself known as a shotacon artist. He went by the name "Kalechippu" and drew so much little boy porn he actually made a portfolio out of it. He did all of this on his old Patreon.

While he was doing this, he was having call out posts made about him. She deleted her Tumblr and then changed her alias to "Kalematsuba" which is what he is currently known as.

Kale continued drawing shotacon despite this, and also became a militant SJW activist. It was only at the end of 2016 where he formally closed down his Patreon, being very polite to his perverted audience.

Enter 2017: Kale has built up a notable following, having "shed" his past. He is now drawing normal fanart and is your typical freelance artist. Then a callout post appears.

This gained a decent amount of traction and got Kale in deep water, which resulted in him making an extremely half-assed apology where he doesn't apologize for anything and blames everything on those dang dirty pedos which he totally isn't one of.

This apology came out around the same time as his Kickstarter was ending, and surprisingly enough didn't affect the funding at all. With 24,000 CAD in the bank, Kale got to work on his project and put the funding to good use. Except he didn't.

This post is a very extensive post on the topic, but here's a brief synopsis. In August 2017, Kale asks for 16,000 CAD to make her comic, which she had neither drawn nor written. As well as this, it is her first comic. She makes 24,000 CAD and funds the project.

Despite this, Kale is blogging about how much of a poor artist he is barely getting by. This doesn't stop him from hemorrhaging money on dolls and trips to Japan though.

So where is Kale now? Playing the victim of course.

Note: he only stopped his shotacon Patreon in Nov 2016.

Make your own conclusion on what Kale is like as a person, however with his money spending habits and the future of his Kickstarter, I think he could make a good lolcow.

On one hand, I don't give a shit if somebody draws loli or shota if they're not bothering any actual minors.

What self-published comic takes tens of thousands of dollars to produce, even with extra goodies included? No way his audience is that big (then again I guess racking up that kind of dough under the guise of representative art is much easier on a site like tumblr).

It’s interetsing because even when cornered people like Kale will still play the victim. The idea that they could do something wrong is so incomprehensible to them they would rather make 7 paragraphs of empty excuses than own up for their past. However you shape it Kale isn’t just into shotacon, they are also a proven pedo, but like many SJWs, they get special treatment. People would rather defend someone who has the same political views as them than have the balls to say it’s fucked up.

It’s pretty clear a lot that money is not being used for the comic and instead being thrown at dolls and other useless garbage, Kales instagram is full of them showing off all the stupid shit they buy. It’s funny as well because even after getting all that money they still beg for donations. As for his audience they had quite a wide following on tumblr, which was and still is avid sjws. All they care about is being represented, they would throw money at a piece of shit if it had a trans flag plastered on it.

Kale talking about stalking a 13 year old when they were 16. They might have been young at the time when they did it but the way they talk about stalking him is telling. He also almost got a criminal record over it, so that should tell you how long he was stalking the boy for and how excessive it was. He was 26-27 when this was said.

Both of these callouts include that info. Unfortunately a majority of Kale's past internet history has been purged, so in terms of proving their capacity to prey on real kids that's all I can give.

Without trying to sound like a conspiracy theorist, I’m fairly sure a decent portion of tumblr fandom artists are pedophiles, or at least have pedo tendencies. I can’t really back that up with solid evidence but spend a while looking through these people’s blogs and you’ll see a pattern in their behavior, calling all their favorite characters “precious babies/boys” and obsessing with what they see as “innocent”. Most of the ones who actually draw pedo shit never get caught out because they keep it private but then we have dumbasses like Kale who broadcast it too the world.

Tumblr accounts are notoriously difficult to monetize, and that goes for artists on Tumblr as well. Most sane, professional artists either avoid Tumblr or just use it as one of many platforms without especially focusing on it. The rest of them are either kids who don't know what they're doing or people with something seriously wrong with them.

Also jfc, I've heard of transitioning to act out your yaoi fantasies, but this is the first time I've seen someone transition into a male pedo. Have fun not being protected by society's double standards.

The comic feels like a total self-insert story. The main protagonist is some FtM Japanese boy who falls in love with a gay guy, it's the fantasy of being recognized as a ~*real gay guy and not a fujoshi*~ with an extra layer of weeabooism slathered on top.

It is about as vapid and pandering as a comic advertised as “lgbt inclusive” can get. What is the story? Typical, contrived “x meets x and they fall in love” garbage. What are the characters persoanlities? Who cares about that, they fit the oppression quota and that is enough to sell anything to these people.
