Katie Joy Paulson (KJ) is a woman who’s become infamous for her commentary/tea/drama channel known as “Without a Crystal Ball” on YouTube. Unlike similar channels who merely cover drama, KJ has drawn the ire of many notable figures due to her fabrication of vicious rumors and malicious actions toward other individuals online. KJ has gone after the Duggers, Janelle and Amber of Teen Mom, the Westbrooks, and other YT channels such as Creepshow Art, Leslie Bass, Charlotte and Emily D Baker. Tati Westbrook, a very wealthy and successful beauty guru, is currently the only person willing and able to take KJ to court.

As for the defamation case, Katie Joy is being sued by Tati and James Westbrook because she claimed that Tati’s Halo Beauty Vitamins were “snake oil” (though to be fair, she claims that all such items are ‘snake oil’) and that James supposedly took his own mother off of oxygen for monetary gain.

Katie is super threadworthy, and it's great someone finally took the initiative, but the OP is kind of a mess. It needs to be better organized, just for starters.

To put it simply, WOACB is considered a liar, a double standard, hypocrite, a drama monger, a faker, a doxxer, a content thief, and too narcissistic for her own good. Beyond that, this reddit novel thread explains it best:

As for the defamation case, Katie Joy is being sued by Tati and James Westbrook for claiming that the vitamins were “snake oil” and that James killed his own mother. She was given FOUR Cease and Desist orders before finally melting down under the realization that she stands to lose a lot of money and her platform entirely. She also can’t stand the concept of KEEPING HER MOUTH SHUT WHILE A LAWSUIT IS GOING ON.

I do think this has potential to be a successful thread, and can definitely be moved to BP once it’s ready. As it is currently, it still reads like a rough draft that could use some finessing. I don’t need an entire deep-dive into who KJ is, though a bit of backstory and history laying out certain events and interactions would help paint a better picture. Instead, the OP seems to only scratch the surface and relies more on the links and videos to cover all the past drama. Links and videos should act as supporting material vs the bulk of the content.

A while back before the coof hit, I lurked in a lot of science discussion groups on FB; I remember seeing articles from her Patheos site posted often (It's been a while, but from what I remember she mostly covered things like anti-vaxxers, crazy conspiracy theorists, woo shit, medical neglect in children, etc). It's so damn weird to me she turned out to be this batshit, as her writing was decent and her interactions with others was quite cordial. Since I stopped using FB I totally forgot about her until news came out that Creepshow Art (cow I was following) deleted her Twitter because of her. As for Patheos, seems that they erased her. Reddit has the tea on that, so it shouldn’t be a problem to find at least a screenshot. Found some “ancient history” and some mention of her time with Patheos. Will find more soon.
