It's illegal, but the businesses who do it usually get away with it over language barriers and fact not many people will take the time to sue over it. Also, such businesses are usually located in the concentrated shithole neighborhoods of cities, where owners want to keep Yakuza and unruly people away.

They are and I've been thinking about it for a while now, but the problem is it's too big of a community to sift through (there's some notable, even infamous members, but I don't keep track of them), and I don't have information/proof on why it is the mods/admins are all terrible. I was a little aware of some of the issues involving the reviewing community because apparently the mods hate them and have gone out of their way to mess up how reviews are distributed, but I don't know all the details. Also, I don't want to anyone else to lose what little brain cells they have left on the place, and they're probably not as entertaining as NeoGAF/Resetera anyway.
