I'm taking it as ALL doctors are required to weigh ALL patients if they want to remain affiliated with the hospital, and that should have been the case before now.
They really do need document her weight, it can't be a waived requirement. I could see her suing their asses a million ways because she was uninformed of all the risks of obesity; or undocumented rapid weight gain or loss indicating cancer or diabetes, and it was never caught. It's an important indicator, and can't be reduced to a patient preference.
Lindo/a Bacon et al believe that weight and good health are a correlation, not a causation. Kelly takes this to mean completely useless. It's not.

When I went to my monthly MD appointment last month (schedule 2 meds woo) the nurse led me directly to the exam room and I said, "What, no scale today?" and she replied "Nah... unless you really WANT to?" I said, "Oh no, I'm good thanks!" and that was it. Even though it's a new MD for Kelly she's seriously overreacting about the whole thing. She could tell them that she doesn't want to know her weight and close her eyes while on the scale. But the doctor NEEDS to know weights for new patients simply for accurate dosage of medications. And she fucking KNOWS that, but instead she's using it for persecution points.

I believe I linked to this podcast episode before somewhere in the morass of the original FA megathread or maybe even in this one, but Kelly has been sperging out about doctors and medications for years now. One of her most robust hobbies is literally berating medical office managers and patient liaisons. She has no real professional or creative outlet for herself (and obviously refuses to channel any energy toward raising her kids well or partaking in any sort of self-improvement) and instead perseverates on this BS.
