See, I am always a bit conflicted about trans issues. I generally think trans men are men and trans woman are woman and all that crap (although I think the % of the population who are actually trans is a lot lower than people who identify as trans but that's a whole other discussion for another thread) but I also believe people can dress and present however the fuck they want. If a "cis" guy wants to dress like a chick but still identify as a guy, fine, absolutely fine. And with that logic, it must be okay for trans men to dress feminine if they want to and for trans woman to dress masculine if they want to as well? But I think @Maiden hit the nail on the head with that one, those gender bending looks do only really work if you look like the gender you identify as, otherwise, what's the point?
I think the issues I'm having with this guy is that despite taking T and having top surgery, he seems to present completely female. It baffles me that someone like this went through hormones and a mastectomy if their whole thing on gender seems to be 'it's what INSIDE that counts'. I don't know him and I don't know if in a few years he will go down the enbie route but essentially live life identifying closely as he can to a female, but it seems like him making permanent - and expensive - physical changes to his body is a big mistake and too far for someone who just wants to cosplay being a gay man.
