Im surprised we didnt have a kengan thread seeing as how both the manga and the anime are doing pretty great.

What is the kengan series about?
Companys around the world use mma matches to decide bussiness disputes, also scoops and a lots of jobbing.

Will Rihito stop being a jobber?
Can somebody stop beard?
Will Ohma continue the kure bloodline?
Will koga stop consuming scoops and actually do something?
Only time will tell...
So, what are your thoughts on the series?

I love this series. It’s just the right mix of actually good writing, fun characters, interesting plotlines, and not being too serious about itself.
I highly recommend reading it, the anime is love it or hate it.

Kengan Ashura was a great read, the action sequences are better than in recent Baki, or at least the original Baki Dou(I still prefer Baki overall), but I didnt really cared a lot about the MC or his backstory. The prisioner guy, the doctor, the Devil Spear, the Fang, tons of great characters.

ok i'm gonna go full speculation on omega.

Spoiler: Kengan Omega Spoilers.

In Omega we learn that "The Worm" has been researching how to upload the human consciousness through electronics and whatnot. We've also seen implications of cloning (Masaki, Gaoh).

I think the thing is that Ohma's artificial heart being a potential lead in to him getting brainwashed might be a red herring and that Gaoh Ryuki is going to wind up being the one getting mindfucked because by all intents and purposes, the Gaoh style wasn't exactly supposed to exist at this point, was it?

Anyways I love what they're doing with Akoya. It's fun. Shame we're not seeing Chiba Takayuki fight. Or Retsudo.

Well so far he hasn't sperged out over it, the same can't be said about his western counterparts. Still America has a nasty way of infecting people with non-sense like that.
