Never really read Berserk, but its influence can be seen across both Eastern and Western media. We lost one of the great mangaka's this month. RIP.

We got off the boat, but we're never getting back on.
The most tragic part was that Miura wasn't that old. He was 54, which isn't exactly young, but it's not the "lived a full life" age either.
This fucking sucks man. He was an immensely talented writer and artist. I don't care much for manga, but this guy transcended cultural boundaries.

As if the our living hell couldn't get any worse...this one cuts too deep. Having read the series for at least 15 years, its almost too painful to process that we'll never see Guts and Casca get any sort of closure. The fact that the last thing we see is all the fairy shit is just even more salt in the wound.

This is also something that happens to people older unless they have prior cardio issues. Also not something that is easy to come back from in the end, any cardiology issues are. I honestly wouldn’t be surprised if cardio issues were a thing for him and was the real case of hiatuses then the descent to idol master hell lmao.

Mirua is one of those I am very sad to hear has passed. the past year and a half has been so good for Berserk fans. I was endlessly excited to see things start to wind down to the end, and see where the fuck it all ended! now i'll never know what he had in store for it.

Honestly, I'd rather just consider Berserk a finished work than have some apprentice wrap it up. It won't be the same, everyone will be disappointed.
