When I ordered the first three deluxe editions, I bought them off of AbeBooks. The second edition is on its way soon, but the first and third editions were shipped, yet there’s no tracking number from USPS or DHL.

The notice said it should be from 4 or 5 to 16 days to get here. :\
Yeah, I ordered the deluxe editions because they were like half off on amazon, dunno if that price will stay. I can only hope Dark Horse printers go 'brrrr'. I might give it another two weeks, and if nothing pops up I'll start looking elsewhere. Maybe start a deluxe edition manga collection

Sorry for the double post, but anyone wanting to buy the Deluxe editions on Amazon should do so ASAP. I ordered them around May 22nd and I just got shipment dates for half of them coming in for this weekend and next week. Only missing 1, 2 and 7 now. So they are reprinting them and they are coming in.

Prices are still 40% off, so you can get some of them for $29. I got 1-9 for $200 when it would have cost probably $340 for all of them.

Are the deluxe editions “complete” or is there enough material for a 10th volume?

Deluxe editions currently out are 1 - 7 and go from volume 1 - 21

Deluxe editions coming out and up for pre-order are 8-9 which cover volume 22 - 27

So there is enough for beyond deluxe edition 10 which will have volume 28 - 30 as each edition holds 3 volumes.

There are 40 volumes total of Berserk out currently. They will probably smash volume 40 + chapters that came out after in with the last deluxe edition, as it is smaller than other volumes.

If I’m going to dump $300-400 into any manga, Berserk certainly seems to deserve it. I’ll be snapping these up while the deal’s still hot.

All the best people are dying off and we're here left with the assholes like Dan Harmon.
It is not going to be so, but the series is done, it's finished. They should just leave it alone and move on. Good god what an awful turn of events, especially considering the optimism surrounding the scheduling, the story and how it was headed.
I would gladly trade everyone at DC/Marvel, fucking, all of them, for Miura to come back to life.
That's the very reason why you can't trade them for Miura, because all of them put together isn't worth a Miura.

Well, just made the questionable financial decision of getting all of these (except Vol 7, which weirdly enough is the only one not discounted). I do genuinely prefer reading manga on paper, and I can’t imagine these deluxe editions will be a bad way to experience the story for the first time.

With the recent passing of Miura, there's been a massive surge in interest and consumer demand for his seminal masterpiece, BERSERK. And since the inevitable scalper's market is already rearing it's ugly head to hoard all available supply for profit, I figure I'd drop this MEGA link for those who want to experience Dr. Kentaro Miura's unfinished magnum opus without having to deal with the headache of gathering each entry from inconsistent and disparate sources. The quality of scans and translations vary wildly from site to site; and BERSERK is one of those rare things that deserves to be handled with a consistent level of reverence and respect. Miura's attention to detail and masterfully complex illustrations are an unprecedented achievement in the medium of graphic storytelling; Eastern, Western, or otherwise...

So that's what I intend to provide. Each volume is an officially translated, high-res scan by Danke Empire; and the final remaining issues are high-res scans provided by Evil_Genius. It's a big boy, weighing in at nearly 20 GB; I refuse to compromise crisp resolution or translation integrity for something as arbitrary as a minimized file size. This isn't meant to supplement the physical copies; my intent is merely to provide an alternative for those either wanting to catch up on the series or as an entry point for newer readers looking to dive into Miura's imaginative world in a time were supply is becoming increasingly scarce. If you have the disposable income to purchase the physical copies than I'd strongly suggest doing so. In fact, I would wholeheartedly recommend purchasing the Dark Horse Deluxe Editions of the series (if you can get them); the love and care that went into this run is honestly incredible and well worth the investment. And as some of you bros have already stated, seeing Miura's artwork in such a large, crisp, and highly detailed physical format is truly a sight to behold.

Protip: Last week I went into a Gamestop for the first time in fucking years and noticed they actually had a few different BERSERK mangas for sale. They were nestled amongst the Funko Pops and all the other Hot Topic-tier consoomer garbage; but they had half a dozen paperback issues, one of the old omnibus collections, and a mint Dark Horse Deluxe Edition Volume #1. Granted their Talmudic sensibilities were clearly at the forefront; they were selling them at an absurd markup due to the sudden demand (I dropped just South of 60 bucks on the Volume #1 Deluxe Edition). But hey, it's an option for some of those hard-up collectors who never would've thought to look there.

The MEGA link provided below contains the complete, up-to-date 40 volume run of BERSERK, as well as the final 6 issues (#358 - #363). They are in .CBZ format, ideal for those of you who have tablets but also looks and functions admirably on PC via Calibre and it's versatile .CBZ/CBR compatibility features. It looks downright gorgeous on a Kindle and navigation is smooth as silk; I'm not entirely sure if Google Books supports the format without converting the files to PDF format, so Android users may need a dedicated app. As far as manga/comic reader apps go, I'd highly recommend CDisplayEX. It's free on PC, and only 5 or 6 USD on App stores. There's also a cracked/modded APK if you wish to use it for free without the invasive and bloated ad module. If needed, there's a tutorial on how to install modded/cracked APKs for Android systems.

I mean they all look fucking beautiful. So its not like they're terrible. Volume 7 isn't discounted because its the last one released.
With the bump in demand and the inevitable scalper's market already rearing it's ugly head, I figure I'd drop this MEGA link for those who want to read this absolute masterpiece and Dr. Kentaro Miura's magnum opus. It's nearly 20 GB; but I wasn't about to compromise resolution or translation accuracy to minimize the file size. I'd still HIGHLY recommend purchasing the Dark Horse Deluxe Editions; the love and care that went into this run is truly incredible and is well worth your investment. Naturally, being the Jews that they are they had them marked up due to demand but hey, it's an option that some collectors might not consider.

God, scalpers are such pieces of trash. Though, I'm still lucky enough that all mine are shipping soon except for the first two. Which are probably the most popular. I just bought them all because its going to get worse as time goes on. Luckily, Dark Horse is probably churning these out because of the demand. Luckily they're not made of silicon.

They're fucking vultures circling the bloated corpse of minimal profit margins and desperate impulse buyers. I was looking around on OfferUp and saw a bunch of the paperback issues for sale at an absurdly inflated price. The deluded twat was asking, like, 50 bucks a piece for his worn-out paperback single issues...

Completely agree. I ordered Volumes 3 thru 6 the day after Miura's death was announced, and they're set to ship at some point in early June. Thankfully I was able to pick up Volume #1 from Gamestop of all places last week; wasn't crazy about the inflated price point but given how immensely popular The Golden Age arc is I figured the first 2 volumes would sell out the fastest. That just leaves Volumes #2 & 7 which are "temporarily out-of-stock" across all online marketplaces until June 6th, so I imagine that's gonna be a crapshoot to contend with going forward. And I'd read that the preorders for Volume #8 have, unsurprisingly, already exceeded April's Final Order Cutoff supply.

But you're probably right, Dark Horse isn't stupid. They no doubt realize what they're sitting on and will likely expediate another print run to try and sate the current demand. They'd be leaving money on the table if they didn't.

Off topic: their run of the Hellsing Deluxe Editions look fucking slick.

Meanwhile, I’m still stuck here with my Vol. 2 Deluxe Edition, patiently waiting for Vol. 1 and Vol. 3

Reading Berserk digitally doesn’t just do it justice, since some scenes have the image quality looking like it’s about to be pixelated.

A bit late to offer my condolences. Never reading Berseker more than Hokuto no Ken for not having time right now (studies & writing that novel, now in a struggle), but at least if i can share with him one thing, is writing nice main characters who're brown, muscular tomboys. Oh yeah.
I create a concept right about my OC (that'll be in the sequel btw), but more than that, it's sad how a well-recieved shonen is unfinished and now i'm a bit worried about its future.

Vol 1. and Vol. 2 don't yet have dates. I'm tempted to email Amazon to ask when they could be expected, since all of the others have ship dates.

Most of the volumes are available with very high quality scans. I wouldn't worry about pixilation if you decide to go that route.

I know that feel. Currently trying to get my hands on volumes #2 & 7; and the thought of getting volume #8 with demand at it's absolute peak and scalpers already circling the water is disheartening...

Honestly couldn't agree more. Physical > digital in every conceivable way regarding comics/manga. I guess the MEGA is meant to provide an up-to-date entry point for those with a cursory interest in the material without having to incur the steep financial investment and worsening supply shortages. With that in mind, each file has been well curated; no pixilation, no remnant JPEG artifacts, no wonky/meme translations. Every volume I included is the highest quality scan available (hence the inflated file size).

I'll say this; one of the things digital could never replicate are those legendary 2 page spreads that Miura loves to drop on the reader during the most pivotal and dramatic of moments:

Yeah, so Amazon took down their own offers on Volume 1 and 2, so they're not going to be in stock any time soon there, which makes sense considering they'd be the most popular volumes. Cancelled that shit and ordered from another retailer at MSRP while I still fucking can. Looking at Ebay, holy shit, scalpers are going apeshit with them jacking up the price 3 or 4 times MSRP. My advice is if you don't have ship dates from Amazon, look for another, less popular retailer ASAP, because there are faggots on Ebay with like 90 copies selling them for $100 each. And there's no reason to buy them at that price.

The thing is, the 90s anime has one of the most unsatisfying endings I've ever seen in an anime. Also, episode 1 (and the jarring transition to ep 2) really makes no sense to a new viewer.
The director hated the Skull Knight and Puck for some reason and got permission from Miura to leave them out, even though the Skull Knight was necessary to the ending of the story arc.

So I find the movies a more satisfying viewing experience. I also don't hate the CGI TV series. Compared to the disappointment that was Fist of the Blue Sky: Regenesis, it looks like a masterpiece.
The second movie was a little off for me in terms of changing/removing shit, like getting rid of Guts' sword breaking while fighting Boscogn at Doldrey, followed by Zodd throwing him his sword while he watched. This is replaced by Guts getting the upper hand via a pretty basic slo-mo "final sword clash" scene. I also thought they could at least spare an additional 15-20 minutes to showcase the motions of the queen and co. conspiring against them further throughout, that would eventually climax with all of them getting torched, or at least cut the unneeded ballroom dance scene to make room for it. Instead, it's mostly just limited to Julius in the first movie

It's not like these are huge arcs like the Bakiraka or Wyald that need a load of setup either, or involved additional lore either not covered in the first or that you'd need to read the manga for, but you really can't look a gift rape horse in the mouth when it comes to Berserk adaptations I guess
