It implies scouring (diarrhea) seems out the normal age ranges for it to happen normally (Two to three weeks old, or right after giving birth). Hopefully it's just a change in feed or stress, because if it's being caused by a bacterial or viral infection it'll spread like fire through the herd considering the crowding. Treatment is usually just some water and electrolytes to prevent dehydration, and waiting for it to pass.

The exposed insulation is hideous. and should really be covered up with some tin sheeting, as the alpacas are likely chewing at it

Also probably a bad sign if the chicken doesn't have a flock to be with.

If they're chewing the insulation, that could explain the diarrhea. Dunno much about alpacas, but eating non-digestible matter can really fuck with an animals intestinal tract.
