TL:biggrin:W:
-They want to start a chestnut/hazelnut farm on the ranch, along with potentially growing hempcrop (i.e weed) outside. (I'm not too sure anything could grow there but hey,)
-They'll try and start a greenhouse and become food independent
-They'll finally build a fence to stop the alpacas from swimming in their own food
-Finally, they're gonna try and start their volunteer program, with the idea being that volunteers will stay there for up to months at a time. Noteworthy detail being that they have to bring their own food for all the time they're staying there.

In other news they're still fucking livid over the accusations they're neglecting and overcrowding their alpacas.

And finally, Bonnie is spiraling down the Kevie (am)hole, maybe next week he'll start hfhfghfghing like his roommate.

Well, they've hit peak woke and hurtled headlong into CHAZ 2.0. We'll probably get some primo laughs from their attempt at starting a crop. I do genuinely have a question directed at our more agrarian Kiwis though: is it normal to feed volunteers in these situations?

Cool. Now do the barn. With all the alpacas inside.

That's the most retarded thing I have ever heard. Nobody will take any significant amount of time off school or work to work for free on a farm in the middle of nowhere while having to pay for their food. Especially not if they get to sleep in tents while there.

Bold of you to assume they have work or school to take time off from. These are troonic NEET coomers we're talking about here. As long as the tents have wifi and tendies they're good.
The thing that's most hilarious though is that there's no one out there with enough money and enough time to actually fulfill their requirements.
NEET coomers don't really have an income and so couldn't afford the food they need to bring for their stay, and those with an income have jobs they can't just quit to work on the farm. The only people who could afford something like this are trust fund kids with nothing better to do (like Kevin), but then they'd be probably be useless on the farm. It's absolutely mindboggling.

Weed will grow practically anywhere. (When I was in college, one frat would prank another frat by tossing seeds in their beach volleyball court, they'd sprout no problem.) The stumbling blocks are, one, there's a difference between just any weed and weed that's worth real money, and two, no way they have the stamina to jump through the regulatory hoops involved in starting a legal grow op.

Bringing food? I thought Mistress Penny just lowered frozen alpaca carcasses into a quonset hut full of feral men in knee-socks, like the goat scene in Jurassic Park?

Counterpoint: It won't be legal, they'll post about it online, and we'll finally get our Tranny Waco when the DEA does its usual thing and rolls out like they're going to war when they find even a hint of a crime to fight.

Did a very quick google search and the first result I got was this:
20210212_191913.jpg

This seems like kind of a wierd venture for them in general, I feel like trees would need fertile soil to begin with, plus they're on that absolutely barren flatland where the wind has to really take what little topsoil they have, plus they have a ton of hungry critters, plus it's cold as shit in the winter... you don't see ANY trees in the landscape every time they post pictures and I feel like that should probably tell them something about what the land naturally supports without a lot of outside intervention. Also havent their water rights been a question? An orchard would take a hell of a lot more water than livestock, I would imagine.

Additionally, there's the fact that orchards take time. We're all casting bets on how long until they go belly up or end up as a 'Snapped' murder episode, do they really think they'll be around in even the two years it'd take for a first harvest IF they plant saplings rather than seeds and IF all goes well in terms of growing conditions?

This ranch is the most rudderless venture imaginable. It's like they pick a new project every other week and don't invest the time/effort into actually developing any of them before moving on to the next harebrained moneymaker.

Wait, so Bonnie and Penny weren't taking their HRT before? Somehow I have a feeling that work getting done on the ranch is going to diminish even more.

If they specifically said hemp, I'm gonna assume they'll try hemp (sorry if it's clearer in the video, I tried to watch it and their voices make me want to 41%). Growing weed really isn't the easiest thing if you want a crop that is worth smoking. It's kind of a finicky plant that needs special care if you want it to be any good. Hemp they can just let grow, I think. I'm much less familiar with how much work you have to put into it.

Okay, sure, fine, but you're gonna need to do these in reverse order. Unless they're just going to throw their hempseed onto the sand and hope for the best. Keeping the 'pacas from sleeping on their own feed should be priority 1.

Yes. Hell, it's damn near mandatory to offer a farmhand some food even if you are paying them in real money. It's just neighborly.

Deflecting by purposefully misinterpretting the accusation. The jury rigged barns they have set up with unsealed insulation is where the alpacas are overcrowded. It doesn't matter if they have a mile of barren wasteland to walk through daily if there is no place for them to sleep at night.

You can tell they read this thread because they are taking all the advice posted here. I bet they are planning to use the alpaca manure to fertilize their crops too.

Any dipshit can start a garden, but making a sustainable food producing garden for 5 grown men doesnt just happen in a season. Your first year will likely be disappointing, your second, marginally better. You need to rotate your crops, plan your seasons, keep the pacas out, keep other critters out, etc. Its not going to look like the produce section at vons because you thought real hard and farted in its general direction.

You live in a farm community, full of farmers. Who would probably love to talk your ears off about farming shit, but oh yeah, you've alienated them with your twue and honest laydees bit

You can't even harvest your eggs before they freeze. Idiots

It's kinda sad. In more than one cow thread I see so many people trying to give the cow genuine advice, yet they turn their noses up each time.
Yeah, we hate the tranches guts, but there's a LOT of good info in this thread to better not only the animals lives, but theirs, and I'm sure many people in this thread would happily give them advice on managing a farm if they asked, if even just for the animals sakes. Yet we're the bad guys bc we call them dumb trannies :(

Nobody would be a cow if they knew how to take advice.
