Well, that's the thing. Initially I just took the claim of moving at face value. They were about to close, they were all packed. No reason to lie about that, really. But then it got pushed back. And again and again. And then they started blaming the mortgage company, which doesn't hold a lot of water. Then it was the guy who supposedly didn't live there. Then they haven't set a closing date at all, which suggest they haven't even had their offer accepted, which makes it WAY too soon to pack. To me, it now seems like they are merely looking at moving, and Kev doesn't understand how that process work. I think _01 or AnOminous (EDIT: Probably @Shield Breaker ) was the first one to say the whole thing is a scam, and they're proven more and more correct every day. You make a very good point about moving the livestock, I never thought of that. There is no possible way to keep pushing those arrangements back if they had made them. Anyone who would be able to move animals en mass like that would have a real company with real schedules and fees, especially for cancellations. Another point in the scam column.

The idea that the dates being pushed back is just a scam isn't a sentiment unique to myself, but I theorized it because they always throw up a donation link when they announce it. Even more suspiciously is that there's been moments where they claimed the date was pushed back almost the exact instance their donation campaign ends (although they also regularly claim it's been pushed back, so the overlap is inevitable either way).

On the bright side, this thread is now on the first page when you search "Tenacious Unicorn Ranch" because I put "Tenacious Unicorn Ranch" in the name of the thread. As far as I can recall, yes. I've yet to see Kevin interact with a prenatal woman, save for his mother and sister (who are estranged) and possibly an agent working with them for their ranch. But we've never witnessed an actual conversation between any.

As someone upthread pointed out, alpaca wool is no good business. Also, from those Youtube videos I glean they have a few dozen drama llamas at most; commercial herds of sheep range from 400 to 1000. In free-roaming places like England and Scotland they're herded by a single shepherd and a few well-trained dogs, plus some farm hands at the stables. None of them get rich.

They could sell chicken eggs (I recall they have chickens) and duck meat, if they have permission for that, but I don't see how they can provide for 5+ men of which at least 1 is on semi-permanent sick leave.

I have to ask the question, with the move being pushed back has there been any mention of how they are going to move all their alpacas?

I'd assume it's a fairly difficult task, one they'd probably need to hire a truck/trailer for. The move date being pushed back would mean having to reorganise hiring the truck and as they only seem to find out about it being pushed back at the last moment that's gotta be messing someone around right?

Moving one animal is expensive and complicated. I doubt you can move an entire herd at a moment's notice, or cancel such a big operation without penalty. I know nothing about the business side (except it costs a lot), but I was at a stable once when a horse was loaded up to go a few states away. They were basically sold a slot on a trailer that arrived with other people's horses that were going the same direction. So, an already planned trip with or without them. I would guess a company takes the business they already have and plan schedules and routes based on fulfilling that, then sell what is left to anybody who can be accommodated along that route. An entire herd would probably involve multiple trailers/drivers with no room for other customers, which would throw a wrench in regular business. Probably wouldn't take too kindly to flakiness on the schedule when having last minute availability for new customers doesn't help because they found somebody else last week and are also five states away.
