This is what happens when idiocy crosses paths with technophilia.Security sperging incoming.
Wifi cameras or wireless security devices of any kind are also trash. I would never even think about using anything wireless because all you need is a $150 radio and you can entirely jam whatever frequency those things run on, as well as destroying the system's ability to upload either vision or alert the operators to faults with the system (or alerts for environmental triggers taking place) online, assuming they are all wireless, which these things appear to be. A $150 software defined radio (which I own a cheap one of, although it doesn't transmit, nor work at 2.4GHz, but the point is that it's not exactly espionage grade hardware here) that fits in the palm of your hand will render this entire system useless.
I wouldn't use them in a real security install, not in a million years.
But hey, they do make for good vaguely useful but way too expensive toys, even if they aren't in any way secure. $800 usd is nuts for that amount of cameras. You can get an entire fucking security system with half a dozen cameras *minimum* — possibly 8, 10, or 12(!) that all runs on power over Ethernet (so the camera only needs one cable—Ethernet. The DVR itself powers the cameras remotely.) as well as live cloud recording on top of internal hard drive recording for that budget. Hell, make it a grand and I could probably throw an uninterruptible power supply into your build too!
