Wow, the image seems like your generic YT LGTB animation.
Well, Craig McCracken finally lost creavity control in his creations.
Good riddance... a sad one
He lost it when he made the 3rd 2nd season of Wander Over Yonder years ago.

Wake me up when the second season of Genndy's Primal premieres.

Wait do you mean when the second season of Primal is created by Craig or do you mean in general?

I know a lot of people mistake Genndy for Craig.
No. I said "Genndy's Primal" which has nothing to do with Craig. Since that's one of the few animated shows I'm interested in and Genndy hasn't disappointed me yet.

So did Craig just completely forget about color theory and scene composition or was he trying to make it look like a shitty overly busy comic book? Because I'm gonna be honest, this looks like shit.

Some of the character designs I do actually kinda like but holy shit that color palette is gross. And this is coming from the guy who's worked on the Powerpuff Girls, Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends, and Wander Over Yonder. All drastically different looking shows, but were eye-catching and pleasing to look at. Snot green, piss yellow, faded orange, dark purple, grey-blue, and beige aren't eye-catching, nor pleasing colors when put together like that.

I've yet to see it in motion, granted, so I'd love to be proven wrong, but it should say something when the space background is immediately catching my eye more than anything else here. I'd hope that maybe it's like that on purpose so that these guys stick out more when visiting much more colorful places, because that's the only way I can see these designs working. If everything looks like this though, that may be a problem. I will say though that Mercury Filmworks being involved does give me hope though: their bouncy, fluid animation is perfect for a McCracken show. Just look at the first season of Star for a possible example of how this show might look in motion.

I want this to be good, but man are there so many red flags flying high right now. The most crimson among them being Netflix.

EDIT: Star wait, what the fuck: you missed a shitload more art and the fact that the rest of the synopsis says that it takes places in New Mexico. That makes the palette make so much more sense. The lighting in that picture doesn't do the colors justice either. They actually work much better here and are much more vibrant than that initial one would have you believe.

It also states that the series will be launching on February 2nd.

It's still not great, but it gives a much clearer idea at what Craig's going for.
