Nothing here says she isn't. I'm not saying that Tikva is or isn't, just that alternative medicine isn't being completely separated from establishment medical standards and masks are actually pretty attractive to alt care health nuts. There are those that fully rejected all modern medical care but quite often people just use alt med to support normal care or only to some conditions. This is definitely a spectrum. Actually most people use some home remedies but do use real drugs, doctors and standard care as a rule.
One side that makes alt care so attractive to many people especially to women is feeling of control. Most people don't understand medical care that well despite using it. This is normal as it's complicated topic where even experts can't know everything and often have use trial and error. This educated guesswork is continuously getting better and obviously works most of the time, but can look and feel absolutely bonkers and out of control. So instead of using drugs that you need permission to get, are made god knows where from ingredients that sound alien and work because of mechanisms that you don't understand, you get to make the treatment that you found out about and makes sense to you all by yourself. Also you can find a community of like minded people that care about health and it makes you feel so smart.
Masks definitely can fall under this. They look simple, make sense to an average person (although people often misunderstand how they work) and you can make one yourself. The DIY aspect shouldn't be underestimated especially when it comes to artistic people like Tikva. Now I don't mean just making masks, that can be part of it but more you get to make a statement. You got the mask, you wear the mask, you made effort, you are skillful, you are smart, you are in control and you care.

What I get from these is that she tried to tell her ex to stop seeing his girlfriend in person because of covid (but really because she’s salty and jealous) and he said no, because they’re all young and non-obese and the risk is low, so she went nuclear and jettisoned him from her life and also put him in a position where he was willing to give up seeing his daughter since it meant no more crazy bitch.

Oh what a surprise, as soon as Tikva's husband is out of the picture Rajeev just happens to be able to move into the apartment next door. I was starting to feel a tiny bit sympathetic there but fuck her, she has learned nothing. Also did this happen for real or is this her trying to make her life look tots awesome again? It's pretty clear that she has white washed her life multiple times. Poly life is the bestiest, worst part being scheduling and all hard feelings are monos or unicorn chaser being unreasonable. She is strong, compassionate and great at communicating with people. Just look all these text walls, that's how real people talk.
I will add that I'm optimistic type so I did think third option. That Vajra really didn't like her airing their parenting disagreements in biased comic form and made that clear that's unacceptable. This could be saving face comic. I don't fully believe this as he seem to be somewhat of a doormat but would be nice as he has show some backbone since the breakup. Shame if he has slided back to be her comfort blanket when the men she chases after aren't there for her because they want just fun and sex.
These "artists" don't understand the "show, not tell" aspect in comics.
