I wish there was an option to turn off the ride specials at least. They take too goddamn long.I'm watching DSP play it and it looks very big on spectacle moves in combat which is why I think kh1 is the best. By spectacles moves I mean moves that make you sit back and watch during active gameplay and you're usually invulnerable.
KH1 the only spectacles you had were special that were pretty heavy AP investments.
KH2 had spectacles in the form of Special Moves involving Donald, Goofy, or another, like Donald Comet, and plenty of spectacles with the reaction (triangle) commands. Some of these were very long and some were short, but the short ones are usually very spammable and it was almost impossible to miss them.
I'm watching KH3 and there's already plenty of these spectacle moves already in the BEGINNING of the game. Some move where you toss Goofy, another move involving some Pirate ship, and some move with lock-on sight.
As you can tell, I'm not a big fan of these spectacle moves save for KH1 where they were pretty short and costed mana to use. I've only seen DSP made it out of the first Disney world and I am a little disappointed in the game. Does look fun though if I can avoid these spectacle moves. Mickey's voice is off, but the original guy died so I can't really blame it on the game.
I figured that's what it was with how Riku reacted to Mickey saying Aqua was like Sora.Is it just me or does KHIII have way more weird japanese shit than the other games? Granted I haven't played a game in the series since the Roxas one on the old DS, but I don't remember there being as many anime over-reactions, and the dialogue seems more stilted.
im half xehanortHow the fuck can you be HALF xenahort
The same way people unironically believe 100+ genders existHow the fuck can you be HALF xenahort
Sorry, but that's the actual story.some crazy fan fiction
I remember the commercial you're talking about, it's what made me interested in the game in the first place too. I think it's fair to say a big part of the initial success of KH is thanks to simple and clean.Man, I remember when I first saw the commercial for Kingdom Hearts. We didn't own a PlayStation, but YOU WALK AWAY, YOU DON'T HEAR ME SAY PLEEEEEEEASE OH BABY stayed stuck in my head for years after that, and I've kinda always wanted to play the game as a result. Even when I had a friend in high school who was a KH sperg and had a Sora fangirl for a classmate and then learned about some crazy fan fiction I never wanted to know about, I kinda still wanted to play it, but had no access to it. Best I could glean were the occasional comics from Awkward Zombie (yeah, I believe Katie did KH before now).
Then I watched my brothers' friend play through the latter half of KH III's prologue tonight, starting with seeing just how dopey Hercules looks and ending with him dicking around in the Ocean Between blasting crystals. Now I (and my ears) don't feel simple and clean anymore. Though the gameplay looked fine.
I still kinda want to play the first game, though.
Wait, Atlantica was optional?!It's been okay, 2FM is still the high watermark of the series, but I hate the Caribbean so far and wish it were optional like Atlantica.
Sorry, but that's the actual story.
The first is the best, so yes. Play it.I still kinda want to play the first game, though.
