Yeah, this is a phenomenon that's been discussed in the trans community, especially since the non-Tumblr trans community has long been dominated by trans women and the "classic" trans condition in the public imagination is MtF. Tumblr is one of the few environments where female-born trans people are probably in the majority, and holy shit, are some people angry about that!

As someone who is non-binary and was born female, I can confirm that AFAB trans people get nowhere near as much recognition than AMAB trans people. And yes, tumblr is one of the envirionments that AFAB trans people are the majority and yet you still have cisgender and heterosexual girls (some of which pose as trans girls) who shit on trans men and AFAB non-binary people just because they think that all girls are more oppressed than trans men and non-binary people.

Most of the transpeople I know are transmen. A lot of them are on Tumblr.

I really, truly don't understand transtrenders obsession with crafting their entire identity around being trans. It seems like it completely defeats the purpose of avoiding dysphoria if if all you do is think about it.
