I'm almost kind of embarrassed about this one but...

I bought one for 50 cents at a thrift store and it really does cook scrambled and poached eggs perfectly in the microwave. I keep it in the break room at work and make fresh eggs from my coworker's chickens at least 3 times a week.

I have a buddy who needs to avoid wheat and is generally trying to keep low-carb, he's gotten a lot of mileage out of one of those cheap little fist-sized zucchini noodle things.
Fresh zucchini noodles are a surprisingly tolerable alternative for real noodles.

Slow cooker.

It's being hinky recently. I'll probably upgrade to a pressure cooker when it blows because I want to be able to bang ribs out in a hurry without needing hours in the smoker or oven. I think s pressure cooker is what Chinese restaurants use so I'm gonna need a king do recipe too. Jest need one that can brown and slowcook too I guess

Kettle for my caffeine habit

That's about it was far as gadgets. I cook on the stovetop or in the oven pretty exclusively do I do have a nice connection of cast iron cookware. Some ikea and some le creuset. Ikea cookware is pretty fucking great btw

This one shows up a lot on "worthless kitchen gadgets" lists but I really like my spiralizer. Zucchini noodles are extremely tasty and easy to make with it. I also like to use it to make thin potato slices for au gratin. And occasionally I use it on a carrot, english cucumber or something else.

Do they work well as ice cubes? I received as a gift a tray that makes X-wing shaped ice cubes, but they work super poorly and dissolve almost instantly, because there's too much surface area relative to the total volume of the ice.
You’re going to just want larges cubes or spheres for exactly that reason. The skulls are probably somewhere in the middles between those and what you have. As someone who likes scotch highballs and just soda water in general, I’ve gotten mileage out of my sodastream the last few months.

My air fryer has functionally replaced my microwave (except it doesn't make my food soggy and gross). I use it literally every single day, and it can cook just about everything except soups (it was a fucking nightmare to clean up, but I had to try).
Literally just toss your food it the basket, turn that shit on to 400 degrees, and jostle it every 5 or so minutes. It will be perfect 99/100 times.

Instant pot (basically a slow cooker/pressure cooker combo) and air fryer are my two most valued kitchen appliances. I make a lot of stews and curries and the instant pot allows you to throw in the ingredients, turn on the timer and not have to worry about babysitting the pot for the next hour. I also like using it to sautee meat and vegetables. Also makes killer ribs in 25 minutes (though they obviously need to be sauced and finished off in the oven/air fryer). It's just such a versatile appliance in general.

That reminds me.

I don't normally like one-used gadgets, but I recently went for a pair of pizza scissors, and I couldn't be happier. They work so much better than the damned rolly things.

They look pretty good and considering I usually make pizza in a cast iron skillet if I make it at home, they're perfectly shaped for it. At present, I use literal scissors.

I'm generally not a fan of single purpose gadgets, but this is a really good one.

I have multiple devices to mince, pulp, and do other things to garlic, but this is the one I always use.
What is this? Looks interesting if nothing else.
Edit: I usually just use my garlic plate for most stuff, (probably a euro thing but it’s just a ceramic plate with grindy teeth on it that you rub the garlic onto then brush off) or if I need more and have other things to mince or pulp along with garlic I use my cuisinart chopper/mincer but it’s a ballache to clean afterwards with garlic bulbs because it needs to soak to get rid of the garlic if I use it for chopping fruit or nuts or ice afterwards.

I had the same question because searching for garlic devices is cancer, there are a ton of them. Look for Chefn Garliczoom.
