I will preface this question and following summary by stating that i do not understand code or server maintenance at all and am a low skill laborer.
I have noticed that Null is unhappy with the current catalog of ss13 servers and that ss13 is popular among kiwi's. I know that if we just call it the KF server it will shut down in an instant after the tard brigade threaten byonds dev team. That being said how hard would it be to make a copy of bee or goon station and then change it to fit our preticule taste, IE popular cows birthdays as holidays or community in jokes. and how much would it cost in server space and electricity to keep a permanent server up. could a potato host the server assuming the server gets about 15-30 regular members at any given time. could we even crowdsource the money to a team given the sites reputation? and i guess most important of all would it need a full time dev team or would a guy or two be able to run it?
