An interesting twist on crowdfunding: Kiwifarms users get together to hire private investigators for getting additional information regarding usual suspects.

The donor chooses the sum to donate and the name of the usual suspect to investigate.
The usual suspect who gets the most money is then picked, kiwifarms take an administrative fee, and coordinate with the P.I closest to the target in question.

The “usual suspects” refers to the individuals already under investigation.

I don't think cows are worth spending money on, and I'm not even sure what a PI would learn about the majority of them. The reason most cows get a thread in the first place is because they publicly air their dirty laundry and don't know when to shut up. Just out of curiosity, where there specific cows you could think of where we'd actually learn something from a PI? I imagine most of it would just be "they woke up at 1 in the afternoon and obsessively refreshed twitter, taking a brief break to check the mail for a welfare check."
