You can make Ice Cream without power, you just need the ice cream concoction itself, ice and salt. The salt/ice brine is cold enough to freeze the mix, you just have to manually stir the sealed mix inside of the brine. There are manual ice cream makers that you crank but I have also made ice cream by rolling a large taped coffee can of brine containing a smaller taped coffee can of mix around on the kitchen floor for a while.
