This virus attacked my joints. My shoulders, low back and neck felt absolutely hammered by Covid. I am ''recovered'' but still have lingering pain and sudden creaky joints. I have Asthma so I was expecting trouble breathing but that symptom simply never occurred. I feel like I suddenly have Arthritis actually, it's just bizarre.

Interesting to have found this thread. I had a positive COVID test back in late January, the 26th I think? Still pissed that I almost could have made it through the entire pandemic without infection, if I didn’t have a retarded nigger housemate who got the coof from traveling, returned home and proceeded to tell nobody, until his symptoms were obvious and we were all fucked.

I’m young and in good health so it wasn’t scary-bad for me. Losing all sense of taste and smell made it too hard to eat because everything had the same off “flavor” like eating old pennies. No fever, no struggling to breathe, some faint chest pain, no issues with my stomach or any aches. Fatigue was awful though and it seemed to be mostly neurological symptoms that plagued me - the spins, couldn’t think clearly, couldn’t stay awake for more than 4 hours at a time. I lost about 22 lbs total.

11 days after diagnosis I started to be able to smell again. 16 days after diagnosis both my sense of smell and taste fully returned. And on day 21 I got a negative test result and was instructed to return to normal. 2 months later and my only lasting “symptom”, if you can call it that, is the fatigue. Doing normal day-to-day things is still more exhausting than it should be. A trip to the grocery store and then putting away the groceries is so exhausting I need a nap to recover. I’m 23, not fucking 90. I can only manage work days with multiple XL coffees and a redbull at lunch for good measure.

Overall it’s a 4/10: slightly more miserable than a typical flu, losing some senses is fucking weird and the neurological effects are like nothing I’ve ever experienced. Never needed help from a quack, did not die, did not experience issues with lungs/breathing. Try again chinks

I just got it. I suspect I’ve had it for around 4 days already. Just lost my sense of smell.

edit: I’ll do a log for people in the future. Here’s what I can reconstruct:

4/8: in the morning I start getting a raw feeling in my throat. I get the chills that night.

4/9: Feeling in throat strengthens slightly and I’m coughing slightly about once an hour. I’m winded doing things I usually do. No chills. No fever.

4/10: Cough stays the same. I get 100.4 fever for about 3 hours midday. Fever goes away. No chills. Body aches in muscles and joints. Dizzy when standing up

4/11: Cough is replaced with phlegm in throat. No fever. Slight body aches. I start taking Tylenol. No chills. Start max dosing zinc and vitamin d. I was actually feeling a lot better here.

4/12: Sense of smell almost completely disappears in a span of about 4 hours. The cough every hour returns except for when I laugh I also start to cough. No fever. If I talk to long my voice gets raspy very quick. Nose is dry. Minimal body aches.

4/13: No smell. No fever. I went the whole day without Tylenol. I got congestion in the evening with sinus pressure but no mucus.

4/14: i actually woke up feeling good except for the no smell. PCR came back positive so fuck me.

99% sure I've had it. Back in July I was intensely unwell for about 48 hours, with 12 hours of that being incredible flu-like symptoms, extreme restlessness, generally feeling like death. This was in the heat of summer, so, unusual.

Got the vaccine last month, had the exact same symptoms, in a more or less identical timeframe, around 9 hours after having the injection. Intense discomfort for about 6 hours, then I was bizarrely almost completely well by the evening of the following day.

According to a health professional family member, the going opinion is that those who have pretty significant reactions to the vaccine are the ones who have already gotten, and recovered from, the coof.

My general health is outrageously excellent, so I basically get never get sick. But I can say both the illness I had in July and post-vaccine were definitely 9.5/10 on the 'please kill me' scale.

Got a positive test back yesterday. I started feeling a little crummy starting last Friday but I thought it was just allergies or a sinus infection. No cough or fever, just sinus headache and runny nose and feeling a bit tired.

Monday night I decided I was going to go get tested the next day just because of a gut feeling about it and I guess I was on to something because a couple hours later I noticed I had completely lost my sense of smell and taste.

Since then nothing else has really changed. I'm always more tired than usual but sometimes it's worse than others. I don't have any congestion anymore but my sinuses still hurt a little. I miss the taste off coffee. The loss of smell is making me miserable.

Just continuing to take my vitamin d and zinc and resting a lot. Hope it doesn't get worse than this.

My husband also has it even though he's fully vaccinated and I'm more worried about him because he's higher risk, but so far he's feeling about the same as me, maybe slightly better.

So today is my last day of quarantine. My wife got sick of it and we broke in home quarantine a day early.

I still don’t have smell and I have dry sinuses and I get tired a bit easy but no cough, no mucus, no chest pain, no congestion, etc.

other than my fever for 4 hours and my 1 day sinus pressure, it was extremely mild for me.

I chalk it all up to maximum dosing vitamin d and I lost 30 pounds since July and am no longer overweight.

Good luck fellow kiwis.

My sense of smell has slowly but surely been coming back. It's enough at this point that I can at least enjoy food again. I only lost it 100% for about 3 days.

I feel great and no longer have any symptoms besides the slight loss of smell. At the worst of it I felt fatigued and achey and my sinuses hurt, but it never felt terribly uncomfortable. Never got a cough or anything besides a slightly elevated temperature.

A couple of times I got more worrisome symptoms like feeling light headed and my blood pressure spiked, but it was brief and I haven't felt anything like that in a few days.

My husband is also recovered and his symptoms were about the same as mine, maybe a little milder. We get out of COVID jail tomorrow and I can go enjoy the rest of my time off work since they require me to take the full 2 weeks off at my job.

I woke up with a mild sore throat today. Is this the end? Will my anti-vaxx ways finally catch up with me?

I took some emergen-C effervescent drink and I feel better already. Damn, I was hoping this was my ticket off clownworld.

Reactive arthritis is a thing, it happens. Might be worth getting checked for that. It is by no means unique or special to coof, at all, so your GP or Doctor will have a good idea of what to do if it is.

I've known people have it after STIs of various kinds, as well as the flu. It happens and it's treatable.

I'm gonna post here because I find this pretty interesting.

this March I contracted covid along with my 2 roommates I had basically no symptoms, besides slight gut issues, joint pain, and tiredness for all of 2 days. roommates had it really bad for about a week and a half. both got tested, but only one had a positive result. no loss of smell or fever for any of us.

now the interesting part. all of our symptoms are the exact ones we had back in November of 2019 (though not as severe). back then the docs had no idea what it was (wasn't a cold or fever) and they said it might be valley fever despite none of us having any of the tell tale symptoms for that. this just confirms for me that covid was in the states in late 2019.

Husband tested positive for coof and I'm waiting for results as apparently getting the first vax shot means rapid tests are not reliable in my case.

Did anyone else find the sense of taste thing more like someone turned the volume down on your tastebuds? Husband reports soda tastes literally like carbonated water atm and he can no longer taste cheese - tho taste buds do work for banana peppers and bbq sauce. For myself things taste more bland tho I can still identify the taste in a milder way than usual.

Nothing major so far, husband has fever and throat issues but seems okay so far tho we're only on Day 2 for him. Unsure if my cold last week was covid or not.

Unfortunately had to get vax, but it confirmed my suspicions that I had the coof back in March of last year. I experienced the exact same symptoms for like a full day. Could barely get out of bed without going into a shivering fit, much like whatever the hell I contracted back then. Today I feel like I ran an Iron Man course but can at least function enough to work.
