KNOTFEST Mexico Canceled After Fans Rush The Stage, Breaking Barricades. SLIPKNOT Issue Statements
A security issue prevented Mexican fans from seeing the conclusion of last night's Knotfest in Mexico City (November 30th.) The stage barricade broke during Behemoth's set and it was impossible to fix in time for the final two acts of the night, Slipknot and Evanescence.

Slipknot offered this statement to understandably upset fans:

"Because of a broken barricade and failed attempts to fix it, Slipknot were forced to cancel our performance last night. Safety — especially the safety of our fans and fellow bands — is priority number one. We apologize profusely and hope you all understand. If anything were to happen to any of you, we wouldn't forgive ourselves. Also, if we could have fixed the barricade correctly, we would have gone on stage. Again, we hope you all understand and we will try to make it up to you as soon as we can."

Evanescence frontwoman Amy Lee issued this statement in a video message:

"Mexico City, we are so, so disappointed that we didn't get our chance to play for you tonight at Knotfest. The last couple of bands didn't get to play because of a safety issue with the barricades and it wasn't something that could be fixed. We are so sorry. We love you so much. We were waiting there, just like you, hoping that we would get our chance, but it didn't work out tonight. I don't know how, but somehow we are going to make it up to you. We love you so much. We'll see you next time."

The event was scheduled for the Parque Deportivo Oceanía venue, with last night, being Knotfest and today being "Forcefest" headlined by Rob Zombie.

According to Rock Feed, fans jumped a fence separating two separate sections leading to some chaos. Later in this video, there is footage of some attendees getting onto the stage and destroying equipment from Evanescence.

Where the heck is security? No injuries have been reported as of this writing.

So apparently the barricades were destroyed while Behemoth was playing, and so the security staff (security?) tried to restore them before Evanescence's presentation but it was impossible. So fans got angry and proceeded to burn everything.
