The reason behind that is they aren't trying to sucker you into it. You aren't, presumably, a desperate retard. Con-men and cults don't go after people that are relatively intelligent and emotionally stable.

Typefuckers, on the other hand, have progressed from people doing it in their spare time to NEETs who have such little interaction with real people that they may as well make it their lives(and in this case, definitely have). Combine that with dwindling standards and a desperate lack of emotional fulfillment and you've got people ready to be taken advantage of by a cult that promises exclusivity, vetting everyone that comes in and has a set standard for art that represents it. Add merchandise and some half-assed convention and people don't even care about the nonsensical lore behind it - they want to be one of the cool kids.

Promise or even allude to be a welcoming community into some bizarre shit, get flak from others that can be misconstrued as kinkshaming or _phobia, and you'll have the broken and confused wondering if they can join the Kool Kids Klub by buying into the hypnotism angle for the hope of instant acceptance.

Mr. Edward Miles of Pittsburgh is a Korps cultist who is notable less because he is unusual, and more because he is the walking stereotype of a furry troon. A tabletop gaming, fat, greasy, non-passing slob with multiple fetishes and a dragon 'sona. Also, he got doxed by tacos. It's a long story.

Edward, as expected, dresses himself up in pink mind-control glasses, wears a cult pin and necklace, and has a tattoo of the cult's logo on his arm. His phone's lock screen is, likewise, a cult symbol.




Mr. Miles is, as you may have noticed, a low-effort troon. Very, very low effort. Thusly, he does not appreciate gender-detecting facial recognition systems. Ouch.



He enjoys going out in public wearing pins that rival Chris himself for pure autism.




He lives in what can only be described as a serial-killer house, in a state of utter sloth. Nothing says "classy" like having a groady, film-covered desktop complete with an entire bottle of Barq's ready to inject the diabeetus.



He was gifted a fursuit for Christmas some years back, and, unsurprisingly, it was a low-quality failsuit. He decided to pose with it in front of his cringeworthy living conditions. Note the villain fetish, which Korps cultists tend to share.

It was enough to identify the restaurant's exact location. The rest of the dox was a team effort, accomplished with the power of crippling autism. Mr. Miles tweeted photos of his house, and revealed in another tweet the exact date he had bought it. One user took sales records data, and put together a map of all houses in Pittsburgh purchased on that date. Together with the photo, it was enough to dox him.
