No my takeaway from the Documentary was that the relationship between Yang and Eddy is more complicated that short clips and meme's imply.
The abject failure of NGO's in Africa to faciltate actual societal development has a lot of different causes, and isn't really touched on in the film. It just makes clear that the Congolese bueracracy isn't functioning in any sort of useful way.

Its mostly old scholarship, but I can't really blame him for that. Current scholarship is either sperging about La Raza (the race) and giving the land back, or a complete rejection of grand narratives. Not really good stuff for a video.

I saw Kraut's video on "Trump's biggest failure" and now this video is popping up in my Youtube recommendations. I haven't even looked up things related to skeptics or Kraut. Is Youtube shoving Kraut down people's throats to "deradicalize" them (Youtube's own words) just like they use Jordan Peterson?

The Century of Humiliation gave China plenty of bureaucracy along with mass genocide and starvation. Yet a couple of generations later they're close to becoming a world superpower. It doesn't take a high IQ to realize that nobody else in the world is daring to call your bluff when you keep adding zeroes to your housing bubble, so you just keep on doing it.
I've been watching this video several times, and I'd probably give it a 7/10. It's pretty well researched, conveys a good story, and uses simplistic yet efficient imagery to convey its message. There are three glaring problems that I've seen so far.
First, Kraut's thesis is incredibly hamfisted and makes heavy use of assumptions based off the limits of his research. For example, he paints the Colonial society of the Chesapeake and Mid Atlantic colonies in an overly simplistic brush, omitting the fact that slavery was extremely prominent in Virginia, Maryland, and Delaware, and that although the Mid Atlantic colonies did afford significant religious freedom, their focus was overwhelmingly commercial in nature, and were based around general Protestant principles of hard work and trade.
Second, you can see Kraut's teutonic rage and anger festering underneath the surface of his script. I thought it was hilarious when he made a jab at Don Sargone, but you can clearly tell that he's directing some of his anger at people who he dislikes, and I would caution him to keep a lid on his bile, because he'll go down the same path that made him into a cow to start with.
Finally, the script meanders all over the place, and could use some editing for focus and clarity. This isn't that big of an issue, and can be fairly easily resolved,
Overall, it's not a bad video, although it could definitely use some work. If you still pop into the forum, @Kraut, it would be interesting to see a copy of your script with the footnotes/endnotes detailing your specific sources. Either that, or you could always make it a Patreon reward, if you haven't already.
