I'd also add that it's not about if she was really alt-right, because she's not a leftist neither now. It's about who did she try to appeal to, and by being friend with Lauren Southern, defending Milo and obviously when she said the black actress from the Ghostbusters remake looked like a monkey, she was targeting the alt-right.

Sargon is not a nazi. Milo is not a nazi. Southern was at most a radical civil nationalist alt-light grifter. Being friends with an actual nazi does not make you a nazi. Being upset that a nazi got censored does not make you a nazi. Shoe did neither of these things, but even if she had she would not be alt-right.

They were all loosely categorised as alt-right during the early days of the movement and some people like Milo even claimed that they were part of it. Not that it matters a whole lot because the majority of their audience were the alt-right at the time anyway, part of the reason why Shoe is considered to be a grifter is because she pandered to a far right/anti-sjw/alt-right audience to collect her shekels despite claiming to be a leftist.

To call her not a leftist is far more of a purity spiral than to call her not alt-right. She didn't like feminism and some other radical social policies at the time, other than that she was pure leftist. And yeah, everyone jumped on the alt-right label (mainly libertarians who weren't skeptics) until the alt-right defined itself as more than "some right wing opinions but no like republicans", then all the moderates jumped to the term alt-light.
