I'll elaborate this situation more. He was defending a Japanese artist drawing and the usual debate "She is actually an adult". In turns, he is now being called as a pedophile.

Lachlan has been defending Funimation for a while and screaming at other anime tubers (HeroHei or NuxTaku) doing clickbaity. He can be jealous of other tubers being more popular than him by being clickbaity and low quality content. Then again that just how media is and animetuber scene isn't really high quality I think?
Other than that, I don't even get what is he trying to say here, Gleipnir isn't licensed nor produced by Funimation.

Usually I don't really care much about Lachlan jealousy or dislikes other more popular anituber than him, because it's just austistic slap fight to me. But I can make an exception in this case.

Eizouken was pretty good for its as in an original anime, however saying "it's the best anime in last season" is well opinion. Unless somehow he uses Myanimelist score for his reason, then I say he's still wrong because Chihayafuru 3 has the highest score in last season.
If you want to use r/anime, then Fate/Grand Order Babylonia was also a high contender with average 2.25k upvotes and 4.63/5 score, Eizouken has average 1.94k upvotes and 4.65/5 score. For a more "normie" anime, you had My Hero Academia season 4, you have the "worst" episode with 2.4k upvotes and the "best" episode with 10k upvotes; but I'd be cheating if I use popularity = best right?

"Celebrated for its rough, down on earth, 'ugly' designs". For the anime style, I say Mizusaki is actually pretty, Kanamori is actually charming and cool (she probably has the most fan arts), then Asakusa is ugly cute.

Now to the main point about LP tweet, he didn't say anything about character design correlated with the show being good, did he? He just said a very typical how Japanese anime does with female character design in general compared to Western cartoons. So in what way is LP wrong? It's even funnier because Lachlan actually use the new She Ra as an example, I'm sure people discussed enough about their design in nu She Ra thread.

I love it when Lachlan tries to paint himself as true anime fan and an intellectual for not just consuming typical fan service animu only, when he himself literally retweets hentai - NSFW arts, types "cumming" at Evangelion streetwear and looking at female lingeries online.
