I don't have much knowledge in between red states vs blue states and how horrible can police (frequently) be in USA. But a few things:

3) What happens in Minneapolis isn't riot nor protest, it's chaos destruction. The mayor if city is a Democrat, the idiot cop is already in custody. Meanwhile, the Minnesota governer literally admits "It's no longer, in any way about the murder of George Floyd" and the mayor now also admits it's "looting and domestic terrorism".

I mean, he's right that channels like Hero Hei and Yellow Flash aren't very knowledgeable about the medium yet profit off of controversy surrounding it by either covering seasonal controversies that nobody will even remember after the show stops airing and making mountains out of mole hills, of course it's true that these channels need to be sensationalist to survive but Pedantic shouldn't be the fucking one to point this out since he admitted to making his Goblin Slayer video dishonest and sensationalist on purpose in order to drum up controversy for attention and views then proceeded to blame capitalism for having to do it. I think he forgot that Dragon Ball Z, Yu Yu Hakusho and Sailor Moon were from before 1995 and they're like some of the most popular western shows through airing on Toonami. Not everyone takes an interest in watching super old shows just so they can come off as cultured, I agree that there are a lot of great older shows that fly under the radar but there's nothing wrong with you if you're only watching and enjoying more modern stuff, my favorite era for anime was the 2000's, you don't need to know the history of anime or every genre to be an anime fan and like what you like. His comment about reading interviews with anime directors is an extremely specific to him thing to say since different weebs take interests in different aspects of the medium and some are full-on death to the author and just care about the work itself.

TPR is not the most cringe person I've come across on the internet, but he is probably tied with Davis Aurini for being the most try-hard. If you read his Twitter, for instance, he loves to contrast "LEFTISTS" (like himself) and "LIBERALS" (like most Democrat politicians, presumably). He does that deliberately because he knows that a lot of people (his American audience) uses those terms interchangeably, and he wants to challenge them. The problem for him is that the perspectives he shares while doing so are some of the most generic academic left takes imaginable, distinguishable only occasionally through their incoherence. He can't challenge people because he a trend follower. His ideology is a trend, anime analysis videos are a trend, queer studies are a trend. But he posts porn on his main Twitter/"professional" account, so that's something sort of unusual, I guess. Despite that, he hasn't posted new videos in about a year, and content creators who go for that long without creating new content rarely come back. Maybe Lachlan is out there, living a healthier life and worrying less about internet clout.
