The problem with so many of them is that they're just absolutely unfuckable. So they tumble into this insane echo chamber about how life isn't fair and become fixated on the idea that society, all of society, is the problem. And there's no one to snap them out of it with a good fucking.
If you look like trigglypuff and are pursuing a useless women's studies degrees with a bunch of unfailable classes, there's nothing of substance in your life except trying to make other people just as unhappy as you. But if you know you're going home and getting laid, the odds of you flipping out and throwing a brick at someone wearing a MAGA hat are significantly reduced.

Part of that could very well be diversifying herself, ironic since SJWs are obsessed with that term but typically desire only to hear one opinion, and seeing that free thinkers are not the devil incarnate.
Also, perhaps now that she is in more of a serious relationship, she is pondering having children...and that can lead to thoughts of, "Is what I believe what I want to pass on to the next generation?"
I personally underestimated Laci, thinking she did not have the critical thinking capability gene in her. I'm pleasantly surprised.

A lot of sjws don't need to reconsider their cores values to get aboard the critical thinking train, most of themselves were brought up with the right values if they were raised in the west. They just have to snap out of denial and admit to reality. For them, being an sjw is like living under the lies of IngSoc but more insidious, by degrees you accept more and more small falsities as truth until one day you are scratching your beard and yelling at strangers about your lesbian girldick. Most of the ex-sjws I have talked to have said leaving the movement was like the scales falling off their eyes - one incident made them think "wait, are you guys for real?" And after that it was all over.
As a side note, I know three ex-sjws who didn't leave like that, instead they went through gradual falling outs until they eventually gave up. And all three of them were terrible sjws, constantly questioning the narratives and getting into trouble. One of them became an sjw through work, and the other two joined because of their ex partners.
