The multiverse thing always gets me. Do they really believe that alternate universes are just animu fantasy lands where Sonic is totally real and totally from your canon? And don't forget past lives. Because you can totally be the reincarnation of a character that was created two years ago even if you are a 35 year old furry living in mom's basement. And somehow it all totally makes sense because quantum physics or something.

Favorite characters never get together and have 16 hours of hardcore buttsex every day? That's ok! They do in your canon! And you happen to be kin with both of them! Lube up!

Hot bishounen genetic abomination with long silver hair a little too murderous for you? That's ok! Because in your canon he's just misunderstood and lonely. If only people knew the real Sephiroth. Then they'd understand.

It's all just a very bizarre and unhealthy variation of fanfiction. It's not enough to write about alternate universe scenarios. You need to tell people those scenarios are totally real and you totally are that character. If they disagree with you then they are being kinphobic and should kill themselves. But please totally tag all suicide mentions as a trigger warning.

I think this might be the worst one I've seen yet because it's encouraging possibly unstable people to embrace their delusions.

The whole multiverse thing is a very gray area - the belief in fictionkin bullshit relies on very specific interpretation of it, but because you cannot prove their interpretation of many worlds theory is wrong, as that's a very wild assumption by itself and not like anyone has a clue how could it be verified or disproved, they can continue to believe there are infinite worlds with infinite variations of physical laws which guarantees pretty much any made up story is real somewhere out there, and that there is some metaphysical aspect to mind that somehow transcends universes. It's like religion, really, in that disproving alternate universe where Sonic is real and an agender pansexual is as much of a hassle as disproving heaven or hell are real, because those locales are outside our own reality and not something you can discover or measure.

Well, that was their defense years ago. That way, when someone said it was stupid, they could cry religious discrimination. However, because of the influx of troll blogs (I believe around 2014 or 2015) claiming to be kin with uncool kinthings like roaches, they essentially "outed" themselves trying to explain why those blogs absolutely had to be trolls. Now their defense is that they're just a bunch of "mentally ill children" trying to cope )) ; and if you say it's stupid, instead of religious bigotry, it's ableism...and also totally harrassing minors, even though a huge chunk of them are adults.

Opinions are arguable, so when you feel the discussion is getting very opinion heavy, refrain from being stubborn on a certain point. Admitting you're wrong is fine around friends. If you feel admitting you are wrong is some kind of defeat or concession to your friends beliefs, then reevaluate why you have discussions with your friend.[11]

The only time you would need to report them to authorities is if they had made some sort of violent threat or you had evidence that they were dangerous. It would be advisable to leave your neighbor be and let them to have their political views in peace, otherwise it will cause upset and make life uncomfortable for the both of you. If you feel that bothered by the fact you live next door to a communist, move.

  There is nothing wrong with a solid debate between people with different views. This can be an enlightenment for all involved. A debate is not about winning or losing though, it's about testing your thoughts, theories, and arguments against those of others, you have to listen at least as much as you talk. If a debate degrades into a fight or an argument without intellectual content, then nobody benefits. Point that out to your friends. If nothing works, physically remove yourself from the conversation as soon as it starts to become another argument.
