This is my first lolcow thread so if I fuck up, please tell me below.

Who is Laura Loomer? She's a "reporter" for the cuckservative media outlet, "The Rebel Media" who, along with another "reporter" Jack Posobiec, showed their unwavering love of free-speech by disrupting a play because it talked badly of their God Emperor™.
Never mind the fact that the same playhouse did the exact same play, but with Obama as Julius instead of Trump.

Delta Air Lines Inc. made it clear Sunday night that it would no longer sponsor the Public Theater due to a new production of " Julius Caesar" where the main character — who gets brutally assassinated in a climactic scene — is depicted as Donald Trump-like.

However, Delta didn't express any outrage in 2013 when another theatre company it sponsors — the Guthrie Theater in Minneapolis — cast a Barack Obama lookalike in the lead role.

New York's Public Theater is presenting "Julius Caesar" from May 23 to June 18. Source: Public Theater
According to a review of the Guthrie production published on the Mpls.St Paul Magazine website, Caesar was cast as "a tall, lanky black man" and that the Obama inference "was a bit too obvious."

"But it fits, sort of," the author continued. "Like Caesar, Obama rose to power on a tide of public goodwill; like Caesar, there were many in government who doubted Obama's leadership abilities; and now that Obama's first term has failed to live up to the messianic hype, there are plenty of people who — for the good of the country, you understand, not their own glory — want to take Obama down."

Delta (and every other sponsor, it seems) was mum on the subject in 2013. Fast forward to today, and the sentiment is quite different.

Shakespeare's play, about the fall of a controversial ruler, was repurposed by Oskar Eustis, the Public Theater's artistic director. To play the lead part, stage and screen actor Gregg Henry borrows many of the traits of our current president.

Eustis, who is also directing Julius Caesar, said earlier in a statement that "anyone seeing our production of ' Julius Caesar' will realize it in no way advocates violence towards anyone."

Delta (NYSE: DAL) has not responded to requests for comment about why it pulled its sponsorship this time but didn't do anything in 2013.

But a spokesperson for the Guthrie told BroadwayWorld that "Delta was a season sponsor of our mainstage season that year; the support didn't include productions in the Dowling Studio, which is where Julius Caesar was produced."

Charlotte, North Carolina-based Bank of America also pulled sponsorship from the Public Theatre as well (see tweet below). BofA doesn't provide financial support to the Guthrie.

Some companies are continuing to support the Public Theater, including CNN's parent company Time Warner (NYSE: TWX) and The New York Times (NYSE: NYT).

"We have sponsored Shakespeare in the Park for 20 years,” the Times said in a statement. “As an institution that believes in free speech for the arts as well as the media, we support the right of the Public Theater to stage the production as they chose."

American Express (NYSE: AXP) also is continuing its sponsorship, but it also distanced itself a bit.

“We would like to clarify that our sponsorship of the Public Theater does not fund the production of Shakespeare in the Park nor do we condone the interpretation of the Julius Caesar play,” the company said on Twitter.

Perhaps the backlash from some corporate backers is a direct response to the public's reaction of Kathy Griffin's recent video of her holding a decapitated effigy of Trump. Reports circulated saying the comedian's stunt scared the president's 11-year-old son, Barron. CNN cut ties with Griffin, co-host of the network's New Years Eve broadcast, shortly afterwards.

Depicting violence against a sitting U.S. president is nothing new — whether it's in the form of entertainment or an outright statement of honest hatred.

There were disturbing images and videos of Obama effigies hanging from a noose, as well as a 2006 British mock-documentary depicted the fictional assassination of former President George W. Bush.

A CNN opinion piece by Issac Bailey highlighted how any threat to any president, even if it's in jest, should be considered "an attack on the heart of our democracy."

"That's why the Secret Service followed up on threats that shock jocker Ted Nugent made against Obama in 2012, as well as Griffin's stunt," he wrote. "Americans generally don't mind their tax dollars being spent to protect first families because they know the history: of an unprotected Abraham Lincoln being shot at a play, for example, and a somewhat better-protected John F. Kennedy being shot in his car, and a shooter managing to wound Ronald Reagan, even amid his Secret Service detail."

After getting arrested for disrupting a play the audience shelled out their hard-earned cash on, she, along with her fellow "reporters" played the victim and tried to get sympathy points from her beta-orbiters.

But it doesn't end there. There was the infamous #TireGate.

She blames this on an unnamed Alt-Righter, when in reality the tire was merely old, being manufactured in July 2011.

In my opinion, I'm pretty damn sure she did all the things she's been accused of but is far too mentally gone to even realize she did a lot of them. She seems extremely unhinged and most likely has very little touch with reality versus the reality that she's created in her mind. Just based on the fact that she's willing to invest money and scream to the court, it looks as though she really thinks that she would win the cases.

If anything, now that she's in further exposure I think this is going to be a slow but certain meltdown situation where she just descends further and further until there's nothing left.

I once read a story about a schitzo woman who saw a bus with an ad on the side of it that said "THINK" and she spent the rest of the week trying to figure out what the bus was trying to tell her, and why it was talking to her.

Ezra should fire Loomer and hire that lady, it would be an upgrade.
