Same thing with Beto in Texas. Granted I like how he didn't take money from lobbyists (though I suspect this is probably bullshit) and how his ads were just him talking at a screen but aside from this and his public persona, almost nothing made him stand apart from every Tom, Dick, and Harry running for Democrat.
He couldn't even win to Cruz who's an unlikable shithead that doesn't seem to have any sort of following.
Also, there was this little gem in these two campaigns
