I imagine that they rejected him the second he walked into the door, like an overdramatic flipping papers off the table and the secretary frantically saying that they can't accept his sperm.
He just volunteered the information, Renee hasn't spoken to him since Halloween (his night out at Impulse Gay Social Club).

I love how casual he is about "I would ask you", as if having his baby would be some minor inconvenience like picking up a bag of chips on the way home. If you can't, no biggie XD

This is what I meant when I said that being friends with Chris wasn't as simple as people were making it out to be. Chris had been friends with Renee for a little over a month, and somehow thought it was reasonable to ask her to be the surrogate for his dream child.

My impression is that he desperately wants Crystal conceived as soon as possible even if the mother divorces him or leaves him so he can spend his time raising Crystal whilst playing with his Legos and games. My biggest concern is not the cost of him raising a daughter but more importantly, the daughter's self-esteem when her classmates in school have real fathers with jobs and she has a father who enjoys being a tomgirl with a taint piercing and infection. Crystal may become suicidal before she hits 7 and sadly, its going to be all of Chris's fault. In other words, having Crystal conceived will only make him more miserable in the long run since he lacks the resources to care for her.
This desperation is just getting almost kind of sad, like the fact that after under 60 seconds of not getting a reply he's going "please respond". It's just indictive of how far he's fallen these days. Or perhaps it's because I just woke up and am reading far too much into 4 sentences. Yeah, that's probably it.
