Galka in FFXI before the update to smooth out the mp/hp between all the races. Galka had a really shitty mana pool so while it's technically POSSIBLE to play magic classes, you have to spend hundreds of thousands of gil on special items just to raise mp pool to compete - and they don't even do the most DPS either. Galka specialty is HP/VIT, and given that the meta-tanks ended up being blink tanks and Paladins, they really ended up just not being a good race at all. Elvaan are better DPS and better at being PLD.
