It was a pretty average adventure game that did the one thing that kind of game could do to be memorable: it was funny.

I loved and played all of the "Quest" games as a kid, and Larry certainly qualified as one of those. You just couldn't have gotten away with calling it "Sex Quest."

Ahhh, Leisure Suit Larry. I loved this. The first, third, sixth, and seventh games were hilarious even if they did rely very much later on on being "Larry goes to place X, tries to pull women, fails horribly." The second one was a trashfire and the fifth one likewise. But hey, it worked.

I'm with people on the lack of the classic theme music though. Let's remedy that.

The series' best moment? There are many, but I think the bit in LSL3 where Larry ends up having to perform a hootchie kootchie dance because he couldn't find his clothes in the dark after gettin' it on with the dancer in her dressing room and gets into her very large and very ostentatious outfit is one bit. The fact that he does well enough to score a monkey in tips really sells it.

That, or the easter egg deaths in LSL6, such as if you unzip your trousers in front of the extremely camp towel boy (you end up married and walking off into the sunset with him), or if you use the seat cover on the toilet, sit on it, then use the underwear catalogue and the hand lotion on yourself, the entire rest of the cast turns up and sees you wanking yourself through the window and don't stop until you go blind.

You probably couldn't get away with Shablee's bit in LSL6 nowadays though. The tumblr crowd would ree themselves into oblivion.
