I played the dull and grainy black and white one for the game boy when I was a kid. I was shocked years later to learn there was a colorized GBA version and that it was based on a SNES game, which was super cool to me.
GREAT soundtrack. Just happy and uplifting to listen to, despite the 32-bit limitations. Makes me wish I had been born a bit sooner to enjoy KK in all its glory.
I don't know if "Atmospheric Platformers" are an actual genre of video games, but if it is, this is objectively the best of them all. (They Bleed Pixels is really good too though.)
