While my least favorite of the three games, it's still a good game.

This is the only game I've ever bothered to get a 100% completion on. I collected all the DK coins because I wanted the gyrocopter.
So did I. Some of those bonus rooms and coins were retardedly hard to get.
When I first saw that humongous overworld, I instantly 100% knew there were gonna be secrets everywhere.
This game was really chock-full of so much secrets, it helped fuel my desire to find mythical secret shit (like the Poke God's in Pokemon, etc.).
When I discovered the Banana bird mother, I was flabbergasted, and thought I was about to unlock a big secret world or something.

I sadly only played it on the black and white game boy port, but it was pretty entertaining still.

Kiddy (porn) Kong feels like ass to play, and he's a fucking baby to boot, nobody likes babies... so when you play this co-op everyone fights over who gets Dixie. Game would've been a lot better with some other ape other than this one, but still, it was a good game.
Technically, this game is the best. It's got more minigames, level design is really good, and it gets to inherit lessons learned and code (enemies, etc) from the previous games. But it doesn't have the nostalgia factor, the themes of the levels don't feel as interesting, and kiddy porn kong is a huge setback compared to diddy and donkey. Plus, he breaks the D-D naming scheme which is bullshit.
